What the title says really, just wondering, seeing as you dedicated AT-43 players know more about this stuff.

Would be nice, along with a full options selection in the boxes instead of 'attachment packs'.

Oh... And with an actual rulebook in it this time would be nice.

No idea yet. The Sentinel head hasn't even told us what's changing nor a date on release much less what's being released for it.

What is this V2 that you speak of?

And how is Rackham doing as a company?

I kind of lost interest after the Karmans were added. The concept is okay, but they could have made them more alien, instead of straight up white space apes.

I have a feeling they won't be introducing another boxed set. They already have enough trouble producing their units, it would be a huge challenge to come out with a boxed set. What I imagine they'll do is release the rulebook along with the boxed army deals for UNA and Karmans.

I see, aren't they also supposed to release the Krygs by then? I'm curious about those, seeing as they have been mentioned a few times in the background, but with no visuals.

There's a Kryg picture in the Red Blok book.

Considering that they're a genetically modified version of Earth Gorillas(created by the Therians), and NOT aliens, why would you expect them to look differently?

What is the story on AT-43. They seem to be at a stand still with releasing product.

No new products until V.2 is released. Everything else has been pushed back until then.

Edit: This just in from Gregoire over at the Rackham forums:

The rules are being redone. Check our website on monday. Boxes too.

Barring any customs delays of course.

As for Krygs, these are the only pictures we have and they may not be the final design. Look kind of like Gears of War locusts.

Locust indeed.

I'll keep my eyes open for today then, I'm curious to see what they are planning for '43.

Nothing to see here, just a semi-announcement of AT-43 V.2.

In 4 years, AT-43 had 6 armies. Among these 6, 2 were only forecast in the first edition books.

Each of them was accompanied with books which allowed you to know them better and moreover to play them better thanks to tactical articles, unit by unit, including heroes of this military forces.

Today, AT-43 hasn't escaped the consequences of a multiple-years long development of a wargame: some troops are underated – mostly because they didn't take advantage of the ideas that occured in the following army books – and some rules need to be revised to reach a better balance of the game and more interesting and deep games.

The concept team has been working on this project for a few months. The results are in. The list of changes to come on the game is set up. Amongst this changes, scenarios from the first edition rulebook were revised to take into consideration the fact that our miniature range is based mainly on Army boxes. You will discover them very soon in the "Gaming Aids" section of our website.

I honestly don't understand the first bold part.

The second bold part concerns me though, especially since I have tons of minis yet have never bought an army box.

Maybe they're going for the Dust Tactics style, releasing expansions that have units for two armies? Sort of like a battle in a box?

Rackham seems a little confused with their product at the moment. If DUST TACTICS proves to be a winner? It could well steal the momentum on AT-43 and consign it to oblivion.

I like playing other games apart from 40k but one thing 40k does do well is stand the test of time.

I think the bold part references ONI and the Cogs.

Also, didn't see the announcement posted here, I posted it on in the news and rumours thread a while ago.

No, but from what Gregoire's been telling the Sentinels for months, there may be "booster" boxes alongside the army and unit boxes that will be something akin to smaller forces(I think say around 500-700 points) that are meant to enhance the army boxes. No guarantees or even hints at what may be in them.

Funny, look more like sci-fi Trollkin from Hordesmachine to me. Just my opinion, though.

First of all, there probably isn't going to be a specific starter set for the v2.
The v2 rulebooks and army books will be up for free download at first when the v2 is ready.
The game is going to run using the army boxes, so we should be able to expect an army box for each faction.

They are planning on releasing new campaign settings, with snazzy rulesets for setting and sub factions, but if these will be boxed sets or just supplement source books, i don't know.

It would appear that those kryg concepts are going to be scrapped, they don't like the feel of them. (and to be honest, neither do I)

Now bear in mind that this is what can be understood from available information at the present time, everything and anything is liable to change

Do they at least hire better translators this time round?

It wont make a difference. The French versions had endlessly repeated rules and the same imbalances.

I find the bad wording to be the least of the problems.

n'oublie jamais - It appears I now have to highlight this again.
