"An inquest has heard that 31-year-old Nicola Paginton died after using a sex toy while watching an adult film, probably due to her state arousal.
UK social worker Nicola Paginton was found dead in bed in October 2009 with with adult content running on her laptop and an adult toy was discovered next to her.
Authorities at an inquest determined that Nichola Paginton passed away from a sudden heart arrhythmia, that occurring during her state of arousal.
The inquest hear that after Nicola Paginton failed to arrive at work, a co-worker and a neighbor tried to find Ms Paginton in her home, concerned for her welfare.
Dr Richard Jones from a University hospital told the inquest into Nicola Paginton's death there was "nothing to explain why she died in this way but I suspect sudden cardiac death."
Let that be a lesson to you youngsters!!

QFT. There is nothing funny about this, and shameful that she has been publically shamed, dead or not it doesn't matter, I hope some heads roll because of this, but doubt it. They could have simply said she died from sudden cardiac death and save her and the family embarrasment

I don't really see how its shameful. They should have a book for adults called, "everyone masturbates"... kinda like the childrens book, "everyone poops".... but with more awesome pictures.

I agree that it should have been handled more discretely, but the media honestly doesn't give a crap. Stories like this sell more newspapers/magazines/bring in more viewers/sell more ad space. It's all about money and that's why this story was run the way it was. The media rarely handles anything with the amount of dignity that ought to be warranted.

No, I'm just annoyed that as Hordini said, media seem not to have much respect for people's dignity. Even more so on a subject thats embarrasing for all involved. Granted the deceased isn't with us to care, but that doesn't make it ok.
Just becuase I disgree with your point of view doesn't mean we need to get over ourselves. I could say the same to you but your entitled to your opinion so I won't as that would be rude.
If you want to tell the world then you are certainly entitled to do so if thats your wish

True, but we need not have to use that as a defence. Besides the press has a limit view on respecting what is not their business. Wheras breaches in standards are easier to police. Masturbation of itself is not shameful, but it can be made out to be shameful by others, particularly if it is witnessed. Thus this disclosure can 'cause distress' to family members. I think there is a good case to say that ethical standards are being breached in realation to disclosure of this case. Who by is another matter.

Hmm Anyone else remember a few years back when the conservative MP died dressed in womens underwear, an orange in his mouth and a bag over his head during sex games? Everyone had a laugh, the media had their circus, much embarrasment to his politial party, friends, family etc.
They said it was an embarrasing way to die. A mate pointed out it'd have been more embarrasing to have been ressusitated from that predicament.
But the point is sex and scandals sell newspapers, the more sensational the story the more they sell, they don't care of the impact past their own pockets lined with silver.
