I was aware that Pitts production company had acquired the rights to do the film.
I had also speculated that Pitt himself would be staring in the film.
I honestly hope the film does the book justice, but I suppose we will have to wait and see.

I hope so too. The last I heard, the screenplay was being written by J. Michael Straczynski, (Babylon 5) which was reason enough for me to believe it will be good.

Meh, I was not impressed with world war z. And the fact that fotm is now zombies is kinda sad.
although, I gotta say, one good thing has come from the zombie fad.... Kirkman got a TV deal from AMC for a The Walking Dead tv show!!!

World War Z was one of my favorite novels of the last few years.

I knew he had the rights and I'm glad he's moving forward with it.

Will be interesting to see how they structure the screenplay with the style of the book, not exactly being in movie friendly format... although a similar style worked in 'The Usual Suspects'.

I wonder the same thing, W_G. I have a feeling it'll be those interviews judged as most important selected that drive the story forward into a cohesive linear story(most likely those centered around the American military and pre- and post-war civilian American stories).

The problem is,both Brad Pitt and Zombies are a hit or miss sort of thing, when they are great in movies they are really great...but when they're bad...ouch.

I'm hoping that in the case of WWZ both will be great...but again,we shall see.
