I move my eldar wave serpent flat out. 24 in. A bunch of Orks assault it in their turn. They hit on 6's but if they immobilize it does it then crash?
I say no.

Why do you say no? The rules explicitly state otherwise.

It crashes yes, but the guys inside are free to disembark, their destruction occurs only when you destroy yourself in your own movement phase that your fast skimmer went flatout, e.g failing a ram spectacularly etc

Page 71, second to last paragraph. 'Tis a Wreck.
I've been playing an ork player for a few games in a row, having my WaveS move Flat Out in the last turn to contest an objective ... invariably, he has enough boyz left to assault it (I end up going first too often). Each time, they've hit it, yes, on sixes. Then they Immobilize it Destroying it, and then I sweat having my farseer disembark close enough to the objective ... doesn't always work.

Well ok guess I am wrong. There is always a first time right? lol I just couldn't make the connection between me moving fast, then 3 phases later, it crashes. I also was rules lawyering a little.
BRB says it crashes if immobilized from shooting. Assault says work armor penetration like shooting, but I couldn't make the connection.
Whatever......
