Honestly they really need to do this, the entire army looks.......gak.

They have a great back ground and could really make them a stand out kick arse army, as it the codex is dated and doesnt stand up to the new editions. the army is limeted to few models. what do you think bout them?

I like the look of a lot of the current models, to be honest with you. But I don't think I'll ever play them because I waited two years to even start 40k in hopes that their codex would get updated and that the local gaming stores would finally stock stuff for them. But it's been a third year now, approximately, and I'm into Chaos Space Marines where the possibilities are almost limitless, so I don't think I'll ever get enough CSM-stuff to want to buy other stuff now, even if I've wanted it since I first started.

Its a shame that they have taken so long to update em, i they ever do would it be to little to late? i think sadly it maybe so.

I agree csm have loads of good lookin modes, a decent codex and some of the most diverse ways to feild an army in 40k.

It definitely would be for me. If my boyfriend hadn't encouraged me with my female Chaos Space Marines, I wouldn't play 40k at all. The only army I liked, just looking at the basic models without any green-stuff changes or bits from other things, were the Dark Eldar, but I was informed by many people, both at my FLGS and elsewhere, that they were obsolete. And one "Hey, new codex on *this date*" then no codex until a year+ later would just kill any remainder of wanting to play, especially with unnecessary codices published in between.

Ugh! Just thinking about the whole thing makes me angry.

The entire Dark Eldar line of miniatures is being re done right now, and they are rumoured heavily to be released along with a new codex in November.

I suggest you read the whole thing if you are skeptical rather than asking them questions that have been asked many times.

For those too lazy: Based on product codes the following have been determined for November -
Codex
3 metal blisters
2 metal boxes
6 plastic boxes

Yeah i have read this before but not on that site, i heard it a while ago to in rumors and hear say but nothing solid, they say november but im not sure it will be this year. and like i said i think it may be to little to late sadly.

I and my FLGS were informed a year ago that they would be releasing the update to them at latest this past March, for sure. Obviously that didn't happen so I really don't put much stock in the November date for anything, no matter how reliable the source might be.

This is just silly. A whole new range of miniatures designed by Jes Goodwin and a totally re done codex? A lot of people are going to play Dark Eldar

They are getting a new dex very soon. For those who are saying its to late is just silly. The fact they havent gotten new models or a new book in so long is actually going to help them. Since in all honesty they might as well be releaseing a whole new army. Dark eldar havent gotten ANY attention in a very long time.

I would wait for them to release a second update, myself, just to make sure they weren't going to leave them untouched for the same amount of time as before. Because I'm disenchanted with GW's updates system (or lack thereof).
