How well do the assault group backpacks fit on gaurdsamen?

They fit pretty well but a bit too large IMHO.

General Ian - Thanks for signing up to Dakka and contributing, but you seems to be spelling "Guardsman" wrong a whole lot.

As long as were in the topic of convertin guardsman what are some good alternative heads i can use? besides pig iron and west wind

i wouldn't use the jump pack on a guardsmen as it's WAY to big. if anything... test fit a marine backpack on one. the nozzles/vents on those look like they could lift an IG and they're cheap too. the ultimate option is to get the elysian grav chute packs from forgeworld but that will cost you alot more.

ahh. thanks, i didn't know those existed. i just figured that due to the guardsmen typo that assault group meant assault squad. my bad.
