So, I looked briefly looked in the codex and online and couldn't find any real answer, though i wouldn't be surprised to learn i skipped over this somewhere...

My question is, if i have a infantry squad with a commissar included, within 12 inches of a Regimental Standard, which re-roll do i get to use first?

Like, is it:

Fail--> re-roll with standard --> fail --> kill a model w/ Commissar and re-roll

or

Fail --> kill a model w/ Commissar and re-roll --> fail --> re-roll with standard

Or, do i only get to use one of the re-rolls? and if so, which takes precedence over the other?

The first way seems the most reasonable to me, but as i couldn't find a definite answer, i figured i'd ask.

Run a search, I think we just had this discussion last week.

There doesn't seem to be a precedence, as both say you must re-roll. But whichever you use 'first', it's the only one you get as you cannot re-roll a re-roll.

Yeah, i did try a search, but nothing of value came up. Maybe i didn't put in the right phrases.

And yeah, I sort of figured it was one or the other, but was not sure if there was a definite answer as to which one you had to do...I guess if you cannot re-roll re-rolls then that is a good enough answer for now, and i will just go with choosing the standard's re-roll (thereby not having the Commissar shoot someone) unless someone has a issue with that.
