I started watching Cannonball Run 2 since it had a good list of stars in it. I figured it would be a little cheesy given the time it was made in and the subject matter. Little did I realize the gak fest I was letting myself in for. About 20 minutes in I found myself wondweing how desperate for a buck could Frank Sinatra and the others have been to let their names be associated with this celluloid abortion.
On a positive note, I did like the doctor in the show and he was what kept me watching for half an hour before I couldn't take anymore. Kind of like finding a diamond in a cesspool.

In my opinion,it has to be Richard Harris in the 1981 film "Tarzan,The Ape Man",with co-stars Bo Derek and Miles 'O Keeffe.
Richard Harris was an incredibly talented actor, staring in such films as, A man called Horse,The Molly McGuire's,The Field,Unforgiven,The Guns of Navarone,Camelot...and many, many more.
However,in Tarzan he plays second fiddle to Bo Derek (?!),her breast and a pair of baboons.
A total waste of a great actor.

Nick Cage in Con Air. Infact....Ill add John Malkovitch in on that one as well. Now Im not saying Nick cage is the greatest actor, hell Im not even saying hes alright, but his acting was just horrid in that movie. Do I HAVE to mention the bunny scene? And Malkovitch, seriously seemed like he was just there for a paycheck and had no care at all of how the movie was going. Anytime I see that movie I have to watch Hitch hikers guide to the galaxy, because his character was border line scary.

Sir Ben Kingsley in Bloodrayne, hands down. The man won an Oscar for Ghandi, for god's sake, and he was in an Uwe Boll movie. In fact,Bloodrayne had a very strong cast with Michael Madsen(Reservoir Dogs,Kill Bill 1+2),Michelle Rodriquez(Fast and the Furious,Resident Evil),Kristana Lokken(Terminator 3),and Billy Zane(Titanic),and it still blew goats.

QFT.
...And,as much as it pains me to say it,Dennis Hopper in Land of the Dead, yes...I am a HUGE fan of George Romero,yeah..I liked Land of the Dead, but c'mon..he obviously did the film because he and Romero were friends since the 70's and shared many political views, not because he thought the material was "great".

That's pretty much the case for every Michael Bay movie. He gets a load of talented actors, a first tier cinematographer, great effects people and the money to let them all do their absolute best work. Bay is reasonably capable as a project manager, there to get all the different parts of blockbuster finished on time and on budget, but whether the final result is actually a good movie, or even coherent, is something the guy just does not give a gak about.
So yeah, I'd say the various top talents involved in each Michael Bay movie.
Pipboy101 wrote:I'm sorry, Dennis Hopper in Waterworld. The man was an F'ing genus and being stuck in that crappy movie was the best thing to happen to that damn film.
Dennis Hopper has been in a bunch of movies where he's happy to shout cheesy lines and then collect a pay cheque. Speed, anyone? There's a whole bunch of gifted actors like Hopper who are happy to turn up in any old crap, provided they pay on time.
Michael Caine is the most famous example. He once took a part in some crappy monster movie, and a journalist interviewing him asked what he thought of the movie, and what he might say to any fans of his that paid to see the movie. He replied that he couldn't comment, as he hadn't seen the movie, but he had seen the house that his role had paid for, and he could assure people that the house was lovely.

Oh god I agree there. I personally love Jeremy Irons (I think its his voice) but he was just asstastic in that film. Infact EVERYTHING about that movie pissed me off. There is no way in HELL a thief could take down that sorcerer AND that anti paladin (whatever he was suppose to be) Basically if a movie has that one Wayens brother in it......its going to blow chunks.

A friend of mine did some CG work for that movie on the first dragon shown in it. He said the the CG crew from viewpoint went to see the movie and by the end of it they felt pretty shamed by the thing. He was glad he wasn't in the office the day everyone who worked on it signed a paper so they could be listed in the credits.
All I have to do when I see him now is say, "Dungeons and Dragons", and he hangs his head and shakes it.

Requiem for a Dream. Which Marlon Wayans actually completed in breaks in shooting from Dungeons and Dragons.

I wouldnt say it hasnt been made yet, he has made some rather good movies, but the problem is what you just said. He seems to have potential. Sometimes he makes a movie that I rather enjoy, only to make a handful after that of such craptastic films it just boggles the mind. And he almost seems to be like Sam Jackson, in the fact that Sam can make Snakes on a plane, and still be the baddest MOFO out there. No one argues how awesome Sam Jackson is.
Cage is kindda there, in the fact that no matter how bad a movie is he is in, he somehow STILL GETS ROLES! Its crazy

You should check out Dungeons and Dragons Wrath of the Dragon God. Its low budget and the money squeeze shows in the GCI in parts, but the film is much better presented and acted. Dungeons and Dragons joins the very short list of films where the sequel eclipsed the original. Unless you are counting in series like James Bond or Star Wars its really rare for a sequel to match the orginal. This and Mad Max are the only ones I can think of off hand.

You haven't seen Kickass yet have you? He's fething awesome in that movie. That's easily his best role, as it's a great fit for his eccentricity and general awkwardness.
Also, though Leaving Las Vegas wasn't the best movie, he was really dedicated to that role. It shows. I've never seen such an accurate portrayal of an alcoholic in any other movie.
