Subject: Wanting to start a Deathwatch army - any suggestions?

So I've been reading some Deathwatch fluff, and I've decided to create a small, maybe 750-1000 point, Deathwatch detachment... maybe I'll use it on the tabletop (probably just using the nillamarines codex to avoid confusion) or maybe I won't, I'm not entirely certain yet... but I really want to paint some Deathwatch marines. So I'm thinking maybe a couple of Tac squads, a Sternguard squad, maybe a Dev squad, a couple of Termies, and a Chaplain to lead them. Naturally, with one or two Marines from each Chapter that contributes to the Deathwatch.
So, any suggestions as to how a Deathwatch detachment would be organized? Should I avoid the Sternguard squad? Is a Chaplain an ideal HQ unit? Where can I get those little Deathwatch shoulder pads on the cheap (TheWarStore has them for $2 apiece)?
Any other suggestions from anyone who has a Deathwatch detachment?
What's your favorite flavor of Jell-O?

Sternguard make perfect sense, after all they have the specialist ammo, just like the Deathwatch.
In fact I've seen people field Deathwatch as Sternguard in normal marine lists

One thing I can't find is whether they have scouts.
If they do, use a few Scouts as troops (keep it cheap) so I can fill up on Sternguards, and if not, use two five-man squads of Tac Marines as Troops and fill up with Sternguards. Devs provide the heavy firepower.
In fact, lemme see if I can come up with a decent list. I'll post it in Army Lists and link it here. Automatically Appended Next Post: Alright, so here's the army list I've worked up. Any suggestions are welcome.

i am afraid to say i do not think the Deathwatch don't take Scouts. They only use full Marines to go off Xeno hunting. It will have to be the 5 man Tac option and then fill in the list from there with Sternguard and anything else you want to put in.

What about Officio Assassinorum initiates? Their assassins are used all the time by the =I=, I'd say it stands to reason that their initiates and lower-level operatives might be as well... Automatically Appended Next Post: Alternately, there's Sergeant Cyrus of the Blood Ravens, who served in the Deathwatch before becoming a Blood Ravens 10th Company Scout Sergeant... but no details about his service in the Deathwatch are given, except that he spent a couple of centuries with them. Perhaps he did so as a sniper?
Maybe they are in fact full fledged Marines, but with sniper rifles and carapace armor (The decreased statline will justify their cost as Scouts)?

That is the route I am going.. All Sniper Scouts for my compulsory Troop choices.. debating on 2 minimal squads, and dumping the rest of my points into Vanguard and Sternguard.. or taking max Sniper squads..
Using Pedro Cantor as Captain, and my Librarian is an Inquisitor.. (or is it my Inquisitor is my Librarian.. )

I'm considering nixing the Dread, reducing the first Sternguard squad to 8, then taking a second squad of 8, but I'm worried it would absolutely cripple my anti-armor capability without that LC on the Dread. But it would be a wee bit fluffier, since there's only been one recorded Dreadnought having served the Deathwatch.
Also, according to Melissia, Dark Heresy has examples of the Vindicare Temple deploying initiates with Inquisitorial detachments, so the snipers are fluffy.
Though their statline is a bit wonky, since the Officio Assassinorum operatives are humans at T3 S3. I'll figure out a way to make the statlines fluffy later.
