So I recently started a Space Wolves army. I bought the Battleforce, asembled it, and primed it black. Then I found a great deal in the swap shop. When they arrived, they were all primed white.

Would it look alright if I just sprayed a layer of grey primer on all the models and then began painting, or do I need to pine-sol strip all of them and re-prime to make them uniform? We are talking a LOT of models.

Thanks.

If you want them darker and want to avoid too much paint, use badab black wash.
I just throw on 2 fairly heavy layers of that when i want a grey ish basecoat.

Hmm, that's a conundrum you've got there...Depending on what you got, I'd say leave them...maybe.

If you got perfect units from the other person, I'd just leave them. It will make the units stand apart from each other.

If you got odds and ends then I'd spray the white ones black.

I'm not sure actually. Space wolves grey is a citadel colour paint, not a foundation, iirc, which means the primer is very important.....

Well, anyway, good luck!

you can primer again but every layer of paint obscures a tiny bit more detail. if you decide to do it, try not to use too thick of a basecoat on the models (thin your paints down with some water).

Depends on the primer you are using. GW spray primers work fine over each other. Brush on primers are more hit or miss. If you are using a non-miniature dedicated spray primer the answer is probability no. The best way to find out is to test on one, see how it goes, then make an executive decision.
