Does anyone know if the new plastic Daemon Prince kit is compatible with the plastic Chaos Spawn kit? The Daemon Prince sprues up on the GW site vaguely suggest they might be kit-bashable.

They're plastic. A hobby knife and pin vise with a drill bit and you're good to go

Indeed. In that way all plastic kits are compatible. I'm more interested in finding out whether the plastic Spawn and plastic Daemon Prince are compatible in the fashion that Space Marines and Chaos Space Marines are compatible. Anyone?

Sorry. I seemed to have had a bit of a smartass moment there. I wish I could have been more helpful.

Oh, I am sure there are tons of bitz that will go right onto a demon prince. Although, that new model kicks ass, and appears to have plenty of alternatives.

This is an excellent question, one I'm also interested in finding the answer to.
I've attempted to find some sprue/component size comparisons, and though the sizes seem close,I've yet to determine if they are indeed a "match".
It does appear that larger arms on the spawn sprue would be usable, but the heads seem to be slightly smaller.

If the same designer did both kits, you can pretty much guarantee compatibility.
For instance, something I found out the other day, the same designer did both the spawn and GW plastic forest kits, the eyes, mouths and most of the tentacles, wings etc fit very neatly into the holes on the trees! (no pics for reference, but watch the local blackshirt simply glue the things in, and there was no need for GS filling in at all!)

Nice to see this thread hasn't expired in my absence. One of the reasons I'm asking is that the Daemon Prince kit seems to be fairly limited in what you can make with it, with only three heads and so on. Plus I like the Spawn kit (made a tentacled horror to use Summoned Greater Daemon, and one that looks like an embryonic Lord of Change to use as a Daemon Prince), and think that such like the Khorne Helmet'd head would make a nice addition to the Daemon Prince model. It just seems like these kits would complement each other well, being two of the three fates facing Chaos Champions.

Limited is, sadly, an understatement!
Hopefully someone who has both kits will wander by soon with a definitive answer!

Ok i managed to aquire a deamon prince kit and can say that the parts are not compatible in the same manner as space marine and chaos marine parts are compatible.
So you'll jkust have to cut, drill and greenstuff the things for them to fit right.

I doubt the scale would match up anyways. The Daemon prince head is much larger than any of the heads in the spawn kit, and etc.

Having seen the Prince kit, i don't see any option for compatability between the two, unfotunately.

Actualy the scale for the heads is about the same it's just that they won't fit without some work (drilling, filing and cutting ect.)
