Me and one of my buds couldn't figure this out. Is the extra attack gained for having 2 weapons, Like on a Imperial Guard Sargent who has to base attacks, Do you ad one to that or is it already in his profile.
Option 1: So the Sgt Dan would just have one attack, but he has a las pistol so he gets +1 attack. Already in profile for A2
Or
Option 2: Sgt Dan would just have to attacks, but he has an extra CC weapon so he gets +1 attack. Not already in Profile.
I think its Option 1.
My Friend thinks its option 2.
Make da Call. Who was right?

Option 2, unless its says the extra attacks are included in the profile then he gets a xtra attack, ie base 2A + 1A for 2 cc weapons

So a Sargent has 3 attacks as a base where a normal guardsman with las gun has one attack?
Its confusing because he has to attacks already. One for a chainsword and one for the laspistol.
I feel like RAI is it is in the profile.

It's never included in the profile unless the unit's entry specifically says it's included.
The Sergeant doesn't have 2 attacks on his profile because he has a pistol and CCW. He has them because he's more experienced than the Guardsmen.
Bonus attacks are a bonus, not a standard part of the model's profile.

Hua... Gw should make my life easier and say "Attacks Three From Chainsword laspistol and Kick to the shin, Already Included in Profile"
Imperial Guard Sargent: WS3 BS3 S3 T3 W1 I3 A3 Ld8 SV5+
What ever.

They don't do that because some models have options to change their wargear, which can change whether or not they get that bonus attack.
So instead, they give you the model's base profile, and let you add applicable bonuses at the appropriate time.

It's because there have, historically, been items which take away the bonus (yes, its a bonus!) fort having 2CCW - so Wych Weapons for example.
In addition this means you can differentiate between different weapons - so take a SM Sarge. He can have a power weapon and have 3A, 4A on the charge, or have a power fist and have 2A, 3A on the charge. If the bonus was already included how would you handle "losing" the bonus?

Good Point.
