Hey guys i play 40k but i want to start WHFB but im not sure which army to start with so can you guys give me any suggestions???
Id like an army with a small group of elite close combat units (like there core troops are great for cc)
are there any armys like that?

They are top middle tier this edition imo. Strong, but not omg amazing...
Also trying to run a small elite army in this edition might leave you discouraged... This edition is really not friends to SEU, and favors big blocks of infantry.

I have 2000 points of  , called the Crimson Leaves.
I will soon be starting WoC, devoted to 
I have 500 points of  , in blueberry and ice cream (light grey and light blue) flavour. From the fictional world Darkheim.

If you want an elite type army for sheer power and low model count -
WoC seem to be a top choice.
Daemons can also work out great (if not a little broken, and with new cheap bloodcrushers)
Or, ogres if you are willing to playtest until your happy with a list (alot of people tend to go through a fair few lists until they are happy with ogres)
