You mean the old tripod mounted twin lascannon?

The easiest option is to find an old set of Space Crusade (or was it only the Mission Dreadnought expansion?) which came with 3 - not that they're great models by modern standards.

For a better model, try a small tracked base (maybe from IG tracks and road wheels) and put a couple of IG lascannon on top (hmm, or a cut-down Land Raider sponson?)

You talking about the old metal one? It's like 4 chunks of metal. It's not hard.

I'm guessing you mean something like this?

It looks pretty easy to make. You could either scratch build a chassis, or use a Forge World Cyclops, and add a couple of Lascannons and Guardsmen crew.

Nah, I didn't make it I found the image.

Thanks, and yeah you're right, it's the cover of the Nemises novel.

That's the original GW model - I've still got one kicking around somewhere.

Also I've started taking photos to use as reference for weathering which can be found here. Please send me your photos so they can be found all in one place!!

It WAS a faster firing multi-shot lascannon in the day.

Then it was replaced with a two barrel model and became a dedicated anti-tank choice. Rules were in Citadel journal for the anti-tank version. 3rd ed stats.

The Rapier, btw referred to the CARRIAGE the gun was on. It was a Rapier weapons carrier with xxxx weapon option.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

I suspect you're thinking of the Tarantula...

Riddick40k wrote:So how many shots did it get?

Originally, only 1... but it did a hideous amount of damage if it hit anything.

No idea on the 3rd ed rules.

Insaniak is right - rapier is (should that be was?) tracked and tarantula is on legs (and could mount a variety of weapons not just LC's)

Counts as Lascannon, of course.

It has no current legal rules of its own, no.

Then i dont see the point of using one unless you wanna make the model into a lascannon for a heavy weapons squad
