Hey guys I just finished up this ork with a new painting style. I haven't been doing 40k long so any advice on where i'm going wrong would be helpful! Hopefully the pics are an ok quality, if not i'll try get some better ones!

Overall I think he looks alright. Whats your reciepie for Ork skin?

It maybe worth getting some snot green (I think, kinda bright green) and doing some minor highlights to the brow, and nose and cheek bones.

The generall appearence of him works, the Earth tones are good.

Also kudos for not doing the illuminous green flesh GW seem to promote (Pic for refrence to illuminous skin)

I'm just here to look at pretty pictures, and be an ass.

Actually looking very nice! Perhaps go over with some extreme highlights, such as mithril on the metal areas.

I might also suggest some sort of contrasting colour used on glyphs or warpaint to give it some vibrancy, as all the tones are very earthy at the moment.

I think basing too helps with deciding where to go next with the paint job.

I say snakebite leather drybrush on the back of the pants in particular, and it would be tabletop quality. The skin looks really good, as does the entire model.

hmm, truth be told I hadn't considered using a clan... i'm letting my sister paint a few at the moment and she has an obsession with painting their pants blue so maybe i'll try them blue guys... forgot their names
