I just finished fully painting my 1500 point force and wanted to share it with you. Some might have seen it or parts of it in either my project log or individual models posted in these forums.

Really enjoy looking at your army, nice choice of colours, the only thing that makes me wince is the block highlighting on the wraithlord, somewhat detracts that lovely edge highlighting & almost looks lazy, Contrary to that point the rest of the army is beautiful!

Wow this army is really amazing , it is really nice when you see someone who has taken their time to make sure that everything is right i mean you even labeled the pictures. The paint scheme looks really neat overall and the colours really work well together. I really like the storm guardians they have really dynamic poses and think bring a bit of movement to the army if you know what i mean.

Great army , Great job.

Lazy or not, I think I really like the look. Might have to steal some ideas, when I get all of my eldar force in the mail in a couple of days. Good work.

What a superb army! I love the different look you've taken with the army, instead of going for the "flamboyant look" and using loads of bright colours, you've stuck to a smaller pallette and the results are spectacluar.

Nicely done. Striking colour scheme, and a solid paintjob.

Thanx all for wonderfull comments. I have to agree on the wraithlord, and I've already started modifying it's head so that the blobb on the head will not be a problem anymore.

Someone's kicking it old school!

I like the unified color scheme and the little conversion touches. Especially moving the power plant on the War Walkers. Have to agree with Khargrim about the Wraithlord hilight though- it's a weak point in an otherwise very solid force.

I like your army shot picture with the units marked. It's a nice touch. Is this going in a magazine or something?

I like the Monolith terrain as well. Is that supposed to be a power-station?

Dude, you did an awesome job
I know some people who dont paint the dire avengers blue, and make them look like regular guardians...
The color scheme is really cool, and it reminds me of the vostroians some how............And i thought avatars were giant.....oh well....Guess ive been playing too much DoW and not enough 40k

labmouse42 wrote:I was playing my friend who played Eldar. He told me 'Damnit, I hate it when your marine squads have a powerfist!" Since that day all my marine squads have them.

I play Angry Marines, my experimental Metal Marines, Ultramarines, Orks, Blood Angels, Necrons, Eldar, Tau, and Spec Ops IG
Im planning to also play Mordian Iron Guard, Daemons, and Chaos and Mercenary IG

Wow, great to see some Eldar on the forums. Great looking army too. Im trying to paint my own Eldar but its super slow going.

Im painting my aspect warriors close to my original colours (dark red, light blue) and not the usual (blue dire avengers, green scorps). I think it looks better, maybe give that a go?

Keep up the great work and pics!!!

Currently collecting and painting Eldar from W40k.

Thanx,

No it's not going into a magazine or anything, I just wanted people to see what the 1500 points were.

I to like the monolith terrain, yes it's a powerstation and no I can't take credit for it, it was maid by my friend.

Love the new look on the Wraithlord now, and of course the rest of the army. Are the symbols on the Dire Avenger Exarch free hand?

wraithlord pose is boss.

The USS Orinoco was a Federation Danube-class runabout that was in service with Starfleet in the late 24th century, attached to Deep Space 9. It was outfitted with a sensor pod.

Yeah, I like to have some old models as well. Why not use them since I already have them, and to my surprise some people appear to prefer them over the new ones. I'm just about finished with a unit of old rangers to, I'll post them when they're ready.

Tyranid Horde wrote:Love the new look on the Wraithlord now, and of course the rest of the army. Are the symbols on the Dire Avenger Exarch free hand?

Well I'm afraid that my freehand skills are non existent, so I have to "cheat" a bit. What I do is to paint the flag white and then I cut out transfers so that as little of the pastic stuff around them is there. I then put them on and paint over with thin white paint 2-3 times until the transfers have all but disappeared I then use them as a guide for my "free hand" work.

As promised here are my rangers. With them, and a few extra models I own, such as fire dragon exarch, one extra dire avenger and upgrading my farseer to Eldrad I can now play 1750 point games. I think I'll stop here and turn my attention to my next project. Thanx all for great comments on the army.
