What has the biggest cheater done during a game against you ?
I played a game against a guy today who was 200 hundered points over, dident have any troops when i checked after and had a load of upgrades which he shouldent of had.
My friend said he was watching the guy in another game and he said his dreadnought's multi-melta had 3 shots hittting on 2's with rerolls, rolled 3 d6 for armour pen, and added 4 on vehical damage chart.

Had a guy use the old tyranids 4th Ed codex where the living ammo rerolled failed wounds, well he was rerolling the armor pen, was trying to give things upgrades they didn't have in his army list, and finally altered his synapse rules where he only had to check at the start of the turn and the rest of the turn they would be immune to all further tests regardless if I pulled them out of range and then go to sweep/make them fall back.
Yeah...wasn't fun.

So at 'ard boys quarter finals this year I played a guy that kept getting the TO insisting I was cheating because he thought he knew everything about Necrons. I had brought my FAQ and TO ruled in my favor all three times. He was playing a demons army and all I could think the entire time is wow, that Fateweaver is so amazing!. Too bad its because he was rerolling cover saves on Bloodcrushers when I'd hit them with a particle whip. Oh, did you know it's possible to give Bloodcrushers FNP? I can't find it, but he played it.

The ones that get me are those who do/pull something, act as if they are brilliant, then promptly go to extreme lengths the next turn to explain why you cannot do the same thing.
But the biggest has to be those D-bags that won't let you do something you forgot, like move a unit that is kind of hidden or fire a tank on the other end of the table. Yet, you have shown a complete willingness to allow those very things during the game. Players like this, incidentally, are why I cannot play in meaningful tournaments. I just know I'd draw 3 of these weasels, and end up embedding my tape measure in someone's forehead.

They did do it wrong: the distance it moved was fine, what was wrong is that it moved behind the enemy, and IIRC, during a Scout move you cannot move within a certain distance of the enemy, which they forgot.

the battle report I'm thinking was about the new Battle Missions book, the Ork player just put everything he had on the tip of his deplyment zone with --- oh wait, the issue is right next to me --- yeah, he just flew a Veteran squad next to a big Orky Objective, no greenskins nearby and a bunch of soft rear armour to blast up ahead and boy were they blasted, Valkyrie even got the Unit of the Match award, survived the game he did
and you need only be at least 12" away from the enemy

I had an eldar player move his tank 12" forward then 12" back to the same spot then try to claim a 4+ cover save for moving flat out.
Unfortunately, the rule preventing this particular brand of douchery comes under the 'Assaulting Vehicles' section, so of course he claims that it only covers hitting a vehicle in CC and does nothing to stop his skimmer getting a cover save...

Ugh, second game I played (My BA, 1000 points, against this guys Guardsmen, 1000 points) and I had a regular at the store watch the game. And every unit he moved/fired/assaulted/etc, he tried to cheat in some way. Claiming his Lascannon Squad could move and fire (They did not have relentless or anything like it, I called BS and checked) claiming the 1 use missiles on his Valk could be used every turn, so on so on. I didn't really care much myself, I'm pretty mellow about this sort of stuff, but the regular who was watching and keeping us straight, rules-wise, almost attacked the guy for his constant, straight-face cheating attempts every turn.

The worst I ever had it was a person who said you could assault move with some of his units even with nothing anywhere close to assault range. So he's basically making 12" moves for the first two turns. I'm not the best player in the world, but I know enough that the units he was moving couldn't do that. Guess I've had it easy compared to some of the other posts.

the thing ive found in most of my games, is that if a person starts off trying to cheat, and you call them on it. they will either cry about it and cheat in some other way, or get upset and flip you off and then just leave the game. I personally think that if a person cheats, knowingly cheats, they should be warned and then banned from the local gaming store.

I never played against anyone who was deliberately cheating to my knowledge. It's not uncommon to forget a rule (in your favor or not) or move a model an extra inch during the movement phase. I knew a guy who would sometimes pick up his dice after rolling armor saves a little too quickly, but I never thought he was doing it to cheat.

I hate hard counters. In a game of rock, paper, scissors, I hate playing any of the factions because no matter what you choose you might as well not deploy against your hard counter. I want to use a gun. Rock, paper, and scissors could all probably still beat gun, but gun will never feel like a game is a lost cause. |

A fast skimmer moving 24" isn't turboboosting; that's its normal maximum movement. Only bikes turboboost. A fast skimmer's normal movement rules allow it to move 24" in the movement phase. Of course you can't get closer than 12" from any enemy unit when you do it and there's a debate over whether you can claim a cover save from doing it because the scout move isn't a movement phase, but I see no reason why the movement itself should be prohibited.

I called him on when I caught him on Turn 2. I thought he did it during Turn 1, but wasn't sure so I hesitated in saying anything at that point because I got distracted when he first did it. The funny part is when I called him on it he kind of stuttered, said he "just remembered he had to be somewhere" and then packed up and left. I kind of shrugged my shoulders, said whatever and tried to get another pick-up game in.

I once point-blank told my opponent that my Raiders could Outflank... they did and TSed over 90% his army off the board T2.
I have two justifications for this, one he didn't belive in Jedi-Mind-tricks anymore, two if you're going to play Tau and set-up terrain like that =\
Was a fun-fun night all in all.
Worst against me would be against a guy still learning the movment ropes, had guys teleporting 10" for combat consolodation. Don't think anyone's ever cheated in-front of me however... mind you being caught defeats the purpose don't it

I bet you think those looks you get from your friends are admiration. They're probably just making sure that the game is being played correctly and you're not cheating them.

Top table of a single elimination, "slayer of kings" invite only tournament with my gaming club. I set up my IG, and I'm looking over the hand written list my opponent gives me while he deploys. Before we start, I ask what the squad next to his Landraider was. "10 Sternguard with combi-meltas and a powerfist" was the reply.
"They aren't on the roster," I point out.
"Oh, I must have forgotten to write them on."
"The rest of the units you did write down cost 1850pts."
An eerie silence descended over the store. The TO added up my opponents army, and sure enough, he was ~275pts over, and had been for the first two rounds. He immediately resigned and left. I'm still not positive that he was intentionally cheating, although he did have a librarian with the Gate power...
