Hi, I read this thread that was a little old about the orkish lifespan.

this makes me think from the quote
"They get stronger, smarter, bigger faster etc." and can potentially live forever.

therefore, assumeing a grot could get as big as a Warboss aight?

Aside, all warbosses would be older then 'da boyz and da' nobz.

Not quite sure what you are asking. But I assume you are inquiring about the lifespan of a grot.

I seem to recall that the oldest, wisest, smartest and most cunning grot ever lived to a ripe old age of about three years. It might have been five.

close, the oldest grot was Makari the Grot surviving for 9 years before being sat on by his master Ghazghkull thrakka and fed to a squig

I imagine they do become bigger and stronger and more confident. But the problem is that they'll never really approach an Ork in size, confidence, or strength, even an Ork Yoof.

the only way a grot can hope to become Stronger thn an ork is to become a Kan.

indeed, Kans often go on a rampage shortly after becoming one. getting revenge and stuff.

As soon as a grot gets anywhere near ork sized it will reieve a lot of unwanted attention from the nearby orks.

Grots survive until Orks get hungry.

What most people don't know, is that Ghazskull is not an Ork. He may be da' tuffest, biggest, 'ardest Greenskin you ever saw, but that's because he's a Grot that kicked enough ass, and killed anyone who said anything about im' not being one of the lads.

It was a poorly thought out joke, a running joke amongst my group.

It isn't Age alone that makes Greenskins Bigger, Stronger, and tougher; it is fighting. While an Orks life is full of Fighting and therefore most orks Increase along a fairly Synonymous path with age, if to Orks were "born" at the same time in 2 different tribes; one Having a great many enemies to fight and the other having no-one but themselves to fight and Met several years later the one from the constantly warring tribe would be of at least Nob size while the other would likely just be a Boy(if not still a Yoof).

I present the 2 cases of Ghazzy and Wazdakka. both are on endless Waaaghs. Ghazzy went from a Yoof, to a Boy, to a Nob, to a Warboss in just a few short years(and is now da biggest baddest Warboss eva). And Wazdakka Is the biggest mek ever; he is of Warboss Size(although not quite as strong).

So an Old grot(who do not really fight much) would be not much bigger than any other grot.

It's also worth noting that most GW sources attest that orks grow bigger as long as they keep fighting and dominating other orks. I haven't seen any (that I recall) sources that say that this applies to all greenskins.

There would appear to be circumstantial evidence to the contrary. Orks which do not fight, or which fight and consistently lose, are noted as losing muscle mass and size (see Xenology, among other sources) Grots, being beaten and bullied consistently, don't dwindle down to nothing and vanish. They appear to hang around for consistent abuse. If they don't suffer the negative consequences of being beaten and bullied, I suspect that they also don't benefit from the positive consequences of beating and abusing others.

that was makari the grot- he lived 'till he the age of nine, until he got sat on by his warboss, and fed to a squiggoth. (early on in the codex).

when did it say the warboss was ghazghkull? and he got fed to a squiggoth
