Good news for Lizardmen players.
Avatars of Wars hired rikard, who's work as been sold on TFM's website for a while, to make a Saurus hero and it turned out pretty well.

This bad boy is currently being moulded and will soon be released.

Wow...

That's another one on the 'must buy' list.

Although my Lizardmen army is mostly comprised of the old 5th edition starter set plastics, so this guy would lok more at home as a Kroxigor champ...

I'm happy to see that Rickard's work is in the AoW range. He easily deserves it.

Not wild about the hand weapon/shield pose, but pretty slick. I am now headed over there to once again implore that a vampire COUNT be produced.

I like that you could option him between hand weapon and shield and 2H weapon perhaps - I wonder if his forearms are thick enough for small magnets?

Usually with AoW you pick which you're getting, I believe. You do not get both sets of options IIRC.

I think the HW shield pose is held back by the angle of the image. It looks like it might be in the vein of similar 'guard and strike' poses produced by GW et al.

Overall, very good, like most of the AoW stuff.

Finally AoW does a mini for one of my armies! I already have several alternate lizardmen so cannot wait to pick this one up!

A sweet base for a hero, but I feel that it needs more armor to really emphasize him above the rest. A little conversion work (or just gluing on plastic bits) and you have one very great looking hero.

It looks really cool, but it doesn't really look like a Saurus to me, more like a Dark Elf Cold One with really big arms.

Rikard is a golden god when it comes to lizardpeople. IMO he should be paid to redo the entire range, t-rex heads and all

In other news, probably the first AoW fig I can't say no to.

There is a poll about that on their website and the side saying they should pack all the bits in the blister for one more dollar is clearly winning.

Depending on how large they are I might end up buying 3 and using them as Kroxigors.

This, and a couple of the more recent sets have everything packed in.

Constructive critisism time.

The feet, head and tail and weapons are pretty much perfect.
As suggested earlier a bit more armour would go a long way to fitting it in with the lizardmen range 9even with the alternate style head.
Also a few scales on the shoulders and some segmentation of the tail (as all the saurus for GW have) would make this just about perfect.

I'll still be buying it.

Honestly youd be better off using the actual kroxigor models.. they're pretty good looking and have 3 unique models. Not like the AoW stuff is gonna be any cheaper than kroxigors
