This will be my first stab at a full blown ten man nob squad capable of abusing the wound allocation rules and thrown in a BW for good measure. Before this, about five was my upper limit, so I want to try and tweak the ten Nobs for maximum effectiveness.

Here goes:

10 Nobs- Cybork Bodies- 250 points
1 Painboy- 30 points
1 with Waaagh! Banner and Shoota-15 points
1 with Big Choppa and Shoota- 5 points
1 with Big Choppa and Combi-rokkit- 10 points
1 with Big Choppa, and Bosspole- 10 points
1 with Shoota and Choppa- 0 points
1 with Powerklaw and Shoota- 25 points
1 with Choppa and Combi-rokkit- 5 points
1 with Powerklaw and Combi-rokkit- 30 points
and 1 with Combi-rokkit, Ammo Runt, and Powerklaw- 33 points

Total Point Cost- 413 points

EDIT- Keeping it all Shootas for simplicity when shooting.

The setup looks good, but you need to check your codex, my friend. Nobs can't be legally fielded with regular shootas anymore.

Other than that, though, looks dead killy!

There's just an acre of you fellas, isn't there?

Oddly enough, it looks like what I run. Although I use kombi-scorchas instead to make dem gits do "da burny dance".

yes I love to see nobs with the cybork bodies. I only have 5 and a pain boy. only I gave 4 power klaws and 1 with a big choppa. they're expensive but insane to die. I took out a whole 5 man squad of assault terminators with thunder hammers storm shields and dual lightning claws. my friend is really scared of them now.

orks ~ 2000 pts
chaos marines ~ 1500 pts
Daemons ~ 660 pts

1 Painboy (Cybork Body)
1 Nobz (Cybork Body; Waaagh! Banner; Power Klaw)
1 Nobz (Cybork Body; Power Klaw)
1 Nobz (Bosspole; Cybork Body; Big Choppa)
1 Nobz (Cybork Body; Big Choppa; Shoota/Rokkit Kombi-weapon)
1 Nobz (Cybork Body; Big Choppa; Shoota/Skorcha Kombi-weapon)
1 Nobz (Cybork Body; Big Choppa; Twin Linked Shoota)
1 Nobz (Cybork Body; Big Choppa)
1 Nobz (Bosspole; Cybork Body)
1 Nobz (Cybork Body)

That's my preferred configuration. 2 Klaws is usually enough, especially with 5 Big Choppas around.

I have them all with Cybork bodies but I like to throw in some heavy armor for wound allocation. This way I can allocate non AP 4 shots to the armored Nobz and get a better save.
Painboy
Choppa
Choppa, Armor
Choppa, Combi Rocket
Big Choppa
Big Choppa, Armor
Big Choppa, Combi Rocket
Power Klaw, Boss pole
Power Klaw, Armor
Power Klaw, Waaagh Banner
415

Also this way I can avoid loosing Power Klaws, Boss Pole and Waagh banner till last as much as possible

Feasting on the souls of unworthy opponents

Ah, a frequent topic that I like to engage in.

Couple things:

1. kombi-skorchas are dangerous. Nobs can shoot a bit, but most likely are going to be fleeting and then assaulting. If there is ANY WAY POSSIBLE that your opponent can remove a model to decrease your chance of a successful assault, they will if they are worth half a spit. At best, I'd never take more than one.

2. Kombi-Rokkits: These can make the nobs double as anti-rhino. Since you can assault the passengers of a vehicle you wreck/explode, if you can surround / near surround a vehicle (typically for me, its getting next to it or failing to deffrolla through it, the nobs can get out and make a second go at it with their kombi-rokkits. At BS2, if you have 4 kombi-rokkits, you can expect to hit with 1.5; sometimes one, sometimes two. I bring three ammo-runts to the table so that I can reroll any misses, and increase my chance of some rokkit ruckus.

3. Heavy armor: Don't take both this and cybork bodies.

Here's what I use:

-Painboy
-Bosspole + Ammo Runt
-Waaaugh! Banner
-Powerklaw
-Powerklaw + Kombi-Rokkit
-Powerklaw + Kombi-Rokkit + Ammo Runt
-Big Choppa
-Big Choppa + Kombi-Rokkit
-Big Choppa + Kombi-Rokkit + Ammo Runt
-Normal Nob

This does a couple things for me: Its as cheap as possible while maximizing effectiveness. Three ammo runts for diversification and also to reroll 3 expected misses out of 4. When I'm paring down for smaller than 10 nobs, I drop the normal nob first, followed by a powerklaw.

Jeez nobz are expensive...

something shall be here after 100 posts...

92% of teens have moved on to rap. If you are one of the 8% who still listen to real music, copy and paste this into your sig.
95% of teens would go into a panic attack if the jonas brothers were about to jump off the empire state building copy and paste this if you are the 5% who would pull up a lawn chair grab some popcorn and yell JUMP BITCHES!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dash I like the anti vehicle potential of your nobz howerver when you are down to 6 nobz the next one to go takes either a PK away from the squad or a BP/Waaagh Banner/ FNP
At 1 less point you can go:

-Painboy
-Kombi-Rokkit
-Waaaugh! Banner
-Powerklaw
-Powerklaw + Kombi-Rokkit
-Powerklaw + Kombi-Rokkit + Bosspole
-Big Choppa
-Big Choppa + Kombi-Rokkit
-Big Choppa + Kombi-Rokkit + Ammo Runt
-Normal Nob

This way you get 1 extra rokkit fired and you can loose 1 more nob before removing a PK or something vital

Nobs are expensive, but are one of the best assault units out there, especially because Nob squads can be taken in two flavors, as Nob bikers or as a large Battlewagon riding mob.
