I am fielding a foot slogging army of around 140 models for 3 upcoming tournaments at 1750pts, (no vehicles) and am wondering whether to take 1 or 2 Big Meks? If it wasn't for Lash of Submission I would be very tempted to take 1 and save the points to be spent elsewhere. However the psychic spell is so common I am wondering whether I need two in case my Big Mek's squad is moved and I am unable to cover other vital units; whereas with 2 I have a better chance.

What does everyone think?

With double lash, you might end up having both big mek squads moved. Just food for thought.

The people in the past who convinced themselves to do unspeakable things were no less human than you or I. They made their decisions; the only thing that prevents history from repeating itself is making different ones.

I'd go with 2, to cover my big scary nobz and loota squads. But to me the KFF is basically the ultimate weapon. I run a kan wall, so I'm biased, I think.

There's just an acre of you fellas, isn't there?

YO DAKKA DAKKA!

If you're playing footsloggers, the second KFF won't save you from the Lash. I'd just take the one and cross my fingers.

With that many models would it not be possible to surround your Big Mek unit so that it can't move that far?
Then the only forced movement that can be painfull is grooping them up and blasting.
Other than that, if Lash is used proper 1 or 2 Meks will not make a great deal of difference. Add a model that you feel makes your list better all around, and when you meet dual lash try and up your game tactically

I would not worry about Lash List unless you local scene runs them all the time.

Use the points on Warboss that way he can make nobs troops you will thank me later.

No vehicles....

Is that because you have none, or because the tournament isn't allowing them?

If you're worried about seeing Lash, practice your deployment and moving. Lash isn't allowed to move a unit through other models, so you can intertwine and shenanigan your units together if you face a chaos player so that his ability to move you with Lash is minimized.
