Hello there, after starting to collect 40k, i've found myself amassing a lot of guard from different regiments before starting another, leaving me with piles and piles of unpainted tanks or half painted troopers. Anyhoo, i'm starting a blog to catalogue my progress as I hope to finish three different imperial guard armies by the end of September, first on the list are the Elysian Drop Troopers.

WIP Command Squad

WIP Special Weapons (this is a test model for the colour scheme I hope to be using, so I haven't bothered with much detail or cleaning up around the edges)

WIP Storm Troopers

Close up of one of the troopers

WIP Valkyrie Cockpit + Interior

Also a small teaser from my Steel Legion and DkoK army!

Much more to come soon!

These are looking interesting! I can't say I recognise the Heads, though, what are they? Also, some of the Clean-Up needs some finishing and smoothing, but I'll give you the benefit of the doubt, and assume you're just getting to that.

Indeed they do need a lot of cleaning up, currently they're held together by some rudimentery paste. Also the heads are from the Valkyrie gunner sprue as alarmingrick pointed out. The other parts are from old Catachan and Cadian command/heavy weapons sprues with the odd tank commander body mixed in. Some of the hotshot lasguns are also made from the bullpup lasguns from the elysian pack I had spare.

Here are some of the Steel Legion vehicles which i've started to paint, i've been following the Imperial Armour Masterclass Vol:1 for these. They might not look much right now, but these tanks will be getting very battle damaged soon!

Here is the first of the Death Korpsmen of the 188th Siege Regiment, in a test colour scheme.

A company commander of the Elysian 18th in an alternate colour scheme. This didn't turn out as well as I wanted, but it serves me right for painting after a night out at the pub This model still needs a lot of touching up, so it isn't really the finished product.

A more finished standard Elysian trooper, this one also needs a lot of finishing touches, but the main body of colour is there.

The first of the lascutter and scanner team is ready to be primed! (apologies for the shoddy pictures, the macro function on my camera doesn't seem to want to work correctly)

C&C welcome!
