Sweet

The stadium is packed with thousands of screaming fans, gathered from across the world and eager to see the bone-crushing action of today’s game. As the Star Players take the field, a surge of excitement rushes from the bleachers; both teams boast impressive rosters full of players hand picked for their unique skills. Some offer speed, others size. Some will mercilessly injure their opponents, while others cheat deviously to score touchdowns. Pick your players, build your team, and become Blood Bowl champion!

Fantasy Flight Games is proud to announce the upcoming release of Blood Bowl: Team Manager - The Card Game!

Blood Bowl: Team Manager - The Card Game, designed by Eric Lang and Corey Konieczka, takes 2-4 players through the cutthroat excitement of an entire Blood Bowl season, all in about an hour. Choose one of six unique factions: Humans, Dwarfs, Wood Elves, Orcs, Skaven, or Chaos, then experiences the strategy and competition of drafting new players over the course of the season!

A frenzied game of deck-building, Blood Bowl: Team Manager puts you in the owner’s box, where you’ll make the calls necessary to take your team to the finals. Customize your deck by grabbing the best new draft picks and upgrading your players, or employ devious tactics to take your opponent’s Star Players out of the game... for good.

To receive all the latest updates on this exciting upcoming game, send us your best idea for a Blood Bowl team name! This winter, the season is starting. What kind of team will you build?

FFG doesn't do CCGs, but they do make "Living Card Games." They expansions are not randomized or as big as CCG expansions, so it's much more manageable to keep up with future releases, but it's also not essential to keep up with them either.

I doubt that very much. FFG have made a big play out of their 'Living Card Games' which are nto CCGs as they come witht he whole set of cards and expansions are done as packs of full cards. I'm a bit non-plused about the game though. Blood Bowl itself is a niche game. I like what FFG do but they seem to be putting out a lot of odd games that are churning through IPs for the sake of it.

From the picture of the box, the description on the site and the fact it's listed under baord games, rather than LCG, this isn't even one of their Living Card Games.

This seems to be a self contained game, intended to include everything in the one box, much like the Space Hulk or Chaos Marauders card games.

Big fan of anything Blood Bowl, so I know I'll pick this up and give it a go.

Hmm, as awesome as FFG are, whenever I pick up one of their gaems, I go through a weekend or two of playing it mad but then it gets shelfed and never opened again. :(

Church: So it is a sword, It just happens to function like a key in very specific situations.
Caboose: Or it's a key all the time, and when you stick it in people, it unlocks their death.

You're entitled to your opinion and not liking them, but saying that they're "for the kids" and that "no self respecting wargamer" would touch them is being a condescending donkeycave, especially since the vast majority of CCG gamers are adults(and double dipping wargamers at that).

Try one not made by WotC(say L5R) and you'll see how wrong you are, BTW.
