1) I have a group of 10 space marines. 6 of them are killed. They fail their Morale test.

Are they:

A) Never able to regroup as they are below 50%. <---- This seems to be the answer as answered in the other thread
B) Able to regroup next turn


2) I have a group of 10 space marines. 3 of them are killed. They pass their Morale test.
Next turn, 3 more are killed. They fail their Morale test.

Are they:

A) Never able to group as they are below 50% of their original 10 man strength. <---- This seems to be the answer as answered in the other thread
B) Able to regroup next turn as they are not below 50% of their existing 7 man strength.

At the bottom of the thread...

And They Shall Know No Fear allows Space Marines to regroup even if under %50; subject to not having an enemy unit close enough (6") to keep them broken or not having fallen off the table edge in the previous fall-back move..

Space marines are a special case. ATSKNF always allows them to regroup as long as there are no enemies within 6". They are never subject to the 50% unable to regroup rule.

ATSKNF aside..... what would happen....

Substitute Space Marine for "generic 10 man unit"

A in both cases.
Barring any special rules (its not just marines than can re-group under 50%)

Then they would continuously fall back each turn because they are under 50% strength and would never regroup.
