I went to see Ted Nugent play tonight, and Although the musical element of the show was a winner, I could have done without his FOX news running commentary.
At least I came out of it with a joke.

But the problem with him is that there is no bile. He's sickeningly happy with his particular brand of insanity. Besides which, the Sun has its own problems lately, it doesn't need that particular flavor of heartburn. But yeah, he's not the rock god he once was.

Sun was diagnosted with losing too much hydrogen and when it starts burning helium, it will only have a few million years left to live before it starts exploding in giant red spasms.

Nugent is from my home town. He's really a mixed bag. He used to do benefit concerts and stuff for the local school district and does a lot to support local businesses, especially those that are outdoors-oriented. On the other hand, he also wanted to boycott Canada for not letting him hunt bear there one season.
He makes life interesting, I'll give you that.

I dunno, I might vote for Ted Nugent. I wouldn't do it because I think he'd be a good President, I just think it might upset the balance they have in DC, force them to stop doing things in their crappy old ways. Of course, more likely they'd just stonewall him for 4 years and get back to business as usual.
I find it funny how everyone is disgusted with Ted Nugent, but nobody complains when Lady Gaga whines about Arizona, and every other person in Hollywood has some left leaning agenda item in their show.
I think it's all a bit ridiculous. A concert is for music. Do the music and shut up. If you want to have a political opinion, do that in another venue.

People hate Ted Nugent because he isn't a liberal.
I'd vote for him Alba, just to shake things up in the WH. I voted for Jesse Ventura for Governor and he was the best one we've had since this state came into being.
Nice attempt at profiling me as racist MGS. I'd vote for a lump of coal before I voted for you, that's for sure. At least a lump of coal wouldn't poison the people of the USA with liberal agenda.
Also, TN would make sure any bill for gun control ended up in the WH trash can. That gets my vote alone.

I think the big issue with doing it in a different venue is that music has always been a political platform and always will be. How many of the people that pan Ted Nugent for his political views ate up the most recent Greenday albums?
I don't neccessarily agree with everything Ted stands for,but I do have to give him credit for taking a stand and not compromising on it. Everybody knows what Ted's politics are. People should just enjoy the music. If his politics bug you that badly, then don't support him by buying his albums and tickets to see him.

Really? Most liberals I know are SOOOO convinced that Muslims have no interest in being the dominant religion in America; that terrorists of ANY nation deserve to be treated as US citizens; that illegal immigrants are actually GOOD for this country and it's economy; that capitalism is evil and that they are helping out minorities by taking all incentive away from them to work hard because "big daddy" will take care of them via the multitude of social programs that encourage, not discourage, minorities to blame whitey and leech off the system.
It's only ridiculous to the liberal minded person because they think their "world view" is the RIGHT world view. I apparently have no world view because I'm an uneducated, redneck conservative. I guess the news channels lie about how bad the problem with illegals in AZ really is so AZ must be wrong and that we should just keep allowing illegals to come into this country.
I guess the "Muslim extremists" that blow up buildings and kill thousands are bastardizing the Quran for their own ends and means but Christians who blow up abortion clinics are following the Bible as Jesus preached it so that apparently Christians are worst than Muslims and more violent?
Progression via allowing gay marriage is right and that conservatives or anyone else wanting it to be banned are uneducated, homophobic hate-mongers.
Oh, gotta love that conservatives are racist because we didn't vote for Barack "Hussein" Obama. If I'm a racist, uneducated redneck than perhaps I should tell my black friend, my native american friends and the few hispanic friends I have that I really don't like them because they aren't white and that they should go back to where they came from and stay there.
Ha.
You go on thinking your world view is the right view. In 2012 that view will be shown to be the "wrong" view and hopefully some people will open their eyes to the truth (and the truth is not what Pelosi or Obama or Reid declare it to be).

Liberal fascists believe in the fascism of Aldous Huxley's "Brave New World" it's almost a nutruring fascism where the citizenry is mothered to every end by the government and has no need to have any kind of initiative to do anything outside the norm. No concept of self-reliance, independence or freedom. They just become a ward of the state until they die.
Unlike Orwell's "1984" where it's angry, militant fascism and you are being repressed on every level. Everything you do is strictly regimented, you cannot speak or act out of line without fear of reprisal.
So, yes they believe in a form of authoritarian government, but a "happy fascism". It's just another attempt at Utopia that will probably lead to people dying becuase of someone's misguyided attempt at creating heaven on Earth, AGAIN! I don't think people have learned enough from the 20th Century to realize this wont work.

As in those who identify themselves as liberal but constantly advocate for a suppression of the opposing party or for a single party system and strong central authority as long as their party is the one in charge. One whom claims to be tolerant while advocating the forcible suppression of opposing points of view.
Yes, there is more to the definition of the term fascist than just "suppressing the opposition", but there is enough commonality in the behavior exhibited to use the term.
