Hey everyone,

I'm just getting back into 40k after a big break, haven't really played many games since 3rd edition, and was wanting to start a new army to get back into the swing of things.

So I picked the Blood Angels and here's a nice 500 point list I made to get me started. All I've bought atm are the tactical squad so anything else can be changed.

-----

Librarian - Shield of Sanginius, Smite

Tactical Squad - x10, plasmagun, lascannon, sergeant with combi-plasma
Razorback - Lasplas

Assault Squad - x5 basic

-----

Edit: I've just worked out the points and it comes to 490

My plan was to have the two tactical squads combat squadded with the lascannon sat at the back and the plasmagun and sarg in the razorback with the librarian.

The razorback and the Assault squad would then move up the table with the Librarian casting Shield to give them a cover save which is also useful if I don't get first turn. Then when they get to the enemy the tactical squad can disembark and rapid fire everything they've got along with the librarian's smite while the assault squad do what they do best.

I've not got the codex yet but I'm pretty sure all the points are right from glancing at some I've seen.

Usually when i play BA at 500 points I find it better to run 2, 5 man assult squads, 2 priests with jump packs and a librarian with a jump pack, with the extra points you can field some power weapons on your seargants.

500 points with any marine list is hard, sorry I couldnt be of more help.

Hi AlexHeap,
That looks like a great starter list! I love mini-games, mostly because I am always building a new army and never seem to have 1750 pts at a time...

You have a razor back to punch holes in enemy armor, a tactical squad (very flexible!) and the assault squad that will mop up a lot of the games more inferior infantry. I'd really enjoy pitting my Sisters of Battle against this army (when I have my 2 mandatory squads and the rhinos done).

Going to go look at your army log now, see you around

Thanks for the replys guys, I was thinking about just running assault squads but the tactical squad are the only models I've purchased atm so was wanting to build from them.
