Hi there,

There's a batch of models I'm looking to get - a few Ex Illis models - and I have seen that they are 32mm models.

I know 40K models are 28mm Heroic (making them essentially 30mm), but I'm wondering if the 32mm (non heroic) Ex Illis models will look out of place next to 40K models.

Thanks!

i haven't seen the two side by side yet (for obvious reasons) but i think they'd look funny. with GWs bulbous hands/heads, having a normally proportioned and even slightly taller model next to them would be interesting. for chaos/eldar/non-imperioum, i'd say no problem as the eldar are better proportioned to begin with while chaos cares not if their models match.

I think it'll depend on how large the hands and heads are on the Ex Illis models. That's what really throws GW's stuff off.

Were you two hanging out at Chili's tonight, talking about this very subject?!?

All kidding aside... what they said!

Depends a lot on what range of 32s and which line of 40k minis.

It's not like GW are consistent amongst their own range.

I use a Haqqislam (Infinity) figure for my guard Al'Rahem model as the caricature model that they use is lame - and the infinity figure is much more dynamic and leader-like (standing with sword raised high, coat flaring in the breeze).

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
