With only 1 game under my belt in 8th & with a totally new army (WoC) at that (I play VC, WE, LM). Im trying to see what I can do with the amount of models I have so Ive come up with this:

Sorcerer Lord 415pts
Level 4
Mark of Tzeentch
Disc
Gift of Conjoined Homunculus
Armour of Morrslieb
Glaive of Putrefication
Dispell Scroll

Exalted Hero 275pts
**General**
BSB
Juggernaut
Mark of Khorne
Gift of Stream of Corruption
Favour of the Gods
Rapier of Ecstasy
Chaos Armour
Shield

Throgg the Troll King 175pts

x30 Marauders 190pts
Full Command
Hand Weapon
Mark of Tzeentch
Shield

x19 Warriors 334pts
Full Command
Hand Weapon
Shield

x5 Marauder Horseman 81pts
Musician
Throwing Spears
Spear
Shield

x1 Chariot 120pts

x4 Dragon Ogres 328pts
Champion
Gr. Weapons

x6 Trolls 270pts

Hellcannon 205pts

TOTAL= 2,398pts

my question is should I remove x1 Warrior & add x1 Horseman for the same points?

No ward save on the Wizard? He's going to get a lot of attention - not to mention the wounds from miscasts.

Can a BSB also be the general? I don't have my army book handy - but I don't think that's allowed.

Some sort of mark would be useful for the Warriors. TZ or KH come to mind.

I don't think you need 19 warriors. Myself I think 15 should be good since they're dead hard. Also since you have shields on them give them MoT. 3+/5++ to front-side combat is going to keep these guys around a long time. Or if you're looking to the warriors to do more killing then give them MoK, halberds and the razor standard. 3 S5 attacks each is pretty awesome, add on the extra -1 to the armor save from the standard and you're into serious business.

The only thing I would do with the Dragon Ogres is drop the champion. For the points you're paying for the champion, the 1 extra attack isn't worth it.

If you are going to use the Marauder Horsemen to hunt warmachines, drop the throwing spears and give them Flails.

I'm pretty sure Ran is correct about the BSB not being able to be your general. I also agree with him about your lvl4. He is going to be an easy target in the shooting phase and a 6+ ward from MoT isn't going to really be that big of a help to keep him alive. An item to give him a ward save would be a better investment then the weapon and that armor. I'd also think about taking Infernal Puppet or Golden Eye of Tzeentch.

I havent gotten the new rulebook since Im waiting for the small one to come out so what does Talisman of Preservation & Dawn Stone do & how much do they cost?

I was thinking GW with the helm of many eyes but was told the GW ALWAYS go last now in the new rules. so no ASF w/ GW is this correct?

the Armour of Morrslieb does have a 4+ Ward Save against all NON magical attacks, with MoT its a 3+. Im trying to make a diferent build than the norm so thats why I equiped him that way. but I do like your idea of the Razor standard (wich I assumes gives -1 armour save) how much does it cost?

lmk about that ASF & GW question so I can make changes.

thanks guys.

if the BSB cant be the general can Throgg?

having the Champion in the DO unit allows me to challange.

The Armour of Morrslieb, however, won't protect you against dwarven warmachines which have runes on them since those attacks will count as magical. So I guess what you do will depend on how often you play dwarfs and what the play style is.

I don't have access to my brb, but I think the razor standard is 30-35 points.

If you have ASF and a GW then they cancel each other out and you would attack at int order.

Your general has to be the model with the highest ld value. In the case of a draw you choose which model is your general. IIRC the lvl4 sorc is ld 8 and I'm not sure about Throgg.

they are all leadership 8, so i guess I can then.

if 2 models square off both with ASF but 1 also has a great weapon?

a.) both ASFs' cancel out & they both strike in Int order.

b.) the one without the GW strikes 1st even if it has lesser Int.

c.) other.

ASF and ASL(GW's have this rule) cancel each other out and you go at your int order. So a the model with ASF would strike first, regardless of its int value and the model with ASF+GW would strike second or at its int as per normal combat.
