Okay, so I want to make a unit of Khorne Terminator champions with lightning claws of 5 models...

I was thinking of just buying 5 terminator lord kits and a berserker set, but that's about 150$ for 5 terminators....Should I go for it? If I do it, the lord kits will give me good options for other terminators I might make in future, so it's a pretty good bitz selection for me afterwards...

The reason I want to do such a silly thing is:
Terminator- 2 attacks
All models can be terminator champions- 3 attacks
Mark of Khorne- 4 attacks
Two lightning claws- 5 attacks with Re-rolls!

The unit is 503 points though,LOLOL!

But yeah, should I do this? My other option is to buy a set of assault terminators and a berserker sprue, but then the issue of marking them as champions comes up..And they wouldn't look very chaos-y. Or, I could buy a chaos terminator set and the lightning claws bitz pack...But then they look imperial....This just seems like the coolest way to do it :3

You forgot the attack you get on the charge

For the Termies, I would say get a box of regular Chaos Termies, get the Lightning Claws set of the GW website and get the Khorne Upgrades from Forge World. There would be some bits in it to Chaosify the Imperial Lightning Claws.

Still, the idea of all those delicious lord bitz makes my mouth water I'll take a look a forgeworld. There's a couple other things I want from them (Word bearers Dreadnought is sooo nice )

Yeah their Dreads are incredible!

I say go for it... But you should check out Ebay for bitz. You can save yourself a ton of money by just buying the bitz you need, just a thought.

Well, I looked at their khorne terminator set....I'm a little disappoint...

Something about them is...Wrong. I don't really want so many skulls and bare faces I'll still consider it though.

Yeah, now that I look at it, they have overdone it a bit, even by GW's skull standards.

Try ebay and bitz websites, here are a few results I got in about 20 seconds of searching my bookmarks. If money is an issue and you have nothing to kit-bash with, try buying one box of termies and a bunch of accessories. Combined with creativity and green stuff I can generally double the number of models I get per box.

Those are pretty good. Bitzbarn is much better than other bitz sites because they actually go out and get bits as opposed to giving you whatever they have

I looked at the loyalist assault squad box, and it looks like there's only 4 sets of claws in there..Am I missing some or are there really only four? I actually have a single pair of lord claws from a friend, so I could just buy the assault squad and the chaos set...

503 pts?! I come up with 280pts. for the whole lot. Unless you meant using 10 in which case it would be 530pts. with the icon of Khorne. Either way a buddy of mine is going to do the same thing. It can be spendy but, oh my lord will it ream anything they assault. And definitely buy the plastic chaos terminators and just get a second set of loyalist claws because otherwise all the lord legs and claws used look the same, cool but, the same.

Pricey? Hardly. If you build your army around them killing things without hesitation, then they rape, seriously. They're a-mazing!

I think I'll just buy the plastic terminators and the claws. Thats about 70$. I don't even really need bitz to make them look khorny, I'll just paint them Khorne. I think I will actually use a chaos lord with claws in my army anyway, although he won't be as good as his other friends

If you’re running a Khorne themed army you should have lots of left over Berserker parts left over anyways. Just use some of them with your standard Chaos Termis and you should be Khorne enough.

I have a unit of 5 of the forgeworld khorne termies and I bought the Chaos Lord lightning claws from bitzbox pretty cheaply. It's a lot cheaper to do it that way than it is to buy lots of the Lord sets, even if you do get plenty of bitz left over.

My friend did just this (although nurgle, not khorne) and it turned out alright, but totally not worth the money and it didn't make them look THAT much more amazing.

Just buy a box of chaos termies and marine assault termies.
Throw the claws on the chaos termies with chaos pads.

If your going khornate with the army you should have spare khorne parts, if not, buy an icon of khorne from GW's site.

I've got some bits from the berserker kit, but they look..Feh, honestly

And If I do that, I can make some TH/SS termies from the assault marine kit. Even though I don't play SM, it's still a cool thing to have. Thanks, this sounds like the best idea, since I'm getting 10 actual terminators.

Again, I was actually just going to paint them khorne instead of modelling them khorne.
