im just going to pant it 3d like with battle damage and so forth . im going to paint more detail into it . more then there is.. to give the illustion that it looks like heavy power armor! im making his bolter rite now . the helmets going to be the hardest . id tried to convince him to be a helmetless sgt . but he wants a helmet really bad... so wel''ll do the best i can.

You can probably get a kid's hockey helmet, depending on where you are in the States, and build it up from there. Are you going to do the back pack too?

i buy the foam at jo annes fabric store . for half an inch thickness it cost $ 10..00 bucks a yard . they sell all differnt thickness's . the alien costume probly costed about 120 dollars in foam . the great thing about the foam is it goes together quickly with hot glue . you can also spray paint it . its flexiable and durable to . for the space marine outfit . first thing you think is.. hard plastic or paper machee . but the foam when painted rite . while cost less and last longer.

That is insane - but awesome. I may have to subscribe to this. Keep it up.

I agree about the black long johns thing, you could even sew elbow guards onto them and wires/pipes and that. Also, the pauldrons shouldn't be allowing him peripheral vision: you need to make them bigger.

Just make sure it's Drimdark and Gritty Ultramarines with Dirty Gold (or Dirty <insert Company colour here> and not Bright and Happy Blingomatic.

So the more important question I think is what dad is going to be for halloween. I think Roboute Guilliman as you are his father and the one that makes the rules he lives by.

Great costume though, definitely beats any star trek costumes people make for their kids.

my customes a alien warrior . i tried to get my son to be a colonial marine . but his faith in the emperor was to strong and he had to be a real space marine! kid like sci fi troopers like his dad .
