I started back in '05 with the battle of Macrage aged 8, when did other Dakkites start?

1987, bought a copy of WHFB 3rd ed and got stuck in!

Aged a mighty 11 years old.

I was prolly about seven when I got into the game.

About eight years old, 95. My brother introduced me to it. He has had nothing to do with wargaming though, since about a year after he did.

I don't recall exactly; maybe 10 or 11? Its been a while, and I've been on Dakka nearly the whole time.

I was 14 I think. It's been a few long years.

10 years ago, age 9. Started off with the Space Wolf codex and Ulric the Slayer.

The grand old year of 1994 was my first foray into the magical world of 40k! i'm 30 in 3 weeks and i'm still into it! i've just got more money to spend on it and not enough time to actually do it!

I was about 11 I think - which would make it 1985

About 15, back in 2005.

I started playing MTG when I was 12 or so. I got into Warhammer around 15 or 16 back in 1996. I started Axis and Allies around age 10. But I've been playing Risk and other board games since I was like 6 or 7. Oh yeah, and my granpa taught me chess at 5. I got an early start into wargaming lol.

I was 9 or 10 years old, in either '87 or '88. Blood Bowl was my plastic crack of choice at the time.

It was in 93', because 2nd ed 40k had just been released, and they had boxed sets in the book store. That would have made me around 13 at the time.

Had got the "red box" D & D, was slowly drawn towards those odd little figures in the corner of the store -- Krackers in Taunton, bless it -- and it's all been downhill from there.

14, in '88. Blood Bowl and Space Hulk led me into Warhammer 3rd and Rogue Trader, the rest as they say, is history.

Well I dont know if this counts but I was 5 years and use to play with my older brothers warhammer figures in realtime battles

And well he didnt like that especially when I broke most of them

I was a "late bloomer" when it came to starting wargaming,I knew nothing at all about 40K until I was in my late 20s and didn't get involved in the game until I was 30.

1988. I were 8, and Heroquest were new.

16. A couple months ago...

Well i dont feel too left out as i only started a couple years ago and am now 25. Ok i still feel a little left out as you started really late.

Id say around 95ish maybe a little later after that. My oldest brother got into 40k and I thought it just looked cool. Im kindda falling out of it at the moment, but I know itll come back with some gusto someday. It always does

9 Years old. First game took place on a 24"X24" diorama of Canadian troops fighting off a German attack on a small outpost in some woods. Those Nazis were probably very confused by the sudden appearance of 2 squads of Dark Angels

I first got into wargaming when I was in the 8th grade with Adeptus Titanicus and Space Marine. So I was 13 or 14. I moved on to Necromunda and Mordheim in high school, but I was pretty much done with wargames by graduation, and took a long break from gaming of any kind.

Then I started getting back into gaming about six years ago. I started with D&D 3.5, then discovered Iron Kingdoms and Warmachine about five years ago. I only started playing 40k and WHFB in the last six or seven months, at the age of 34.

Age 11. Half a lifetime ago now.

About 15-16, so 3 or 4 years ago with my gold ol' Chaos Space Marines, did stop for at least 2 years. Now im 19 and need something other than playing video games to keep me entertained

Never played any real games, but might start now(bought the rulebook a while go. Read it but never played a proper game after that. Possible waste of money)

around 5 years ago, got talked into trying warmachine by a couple of friends, one of which was a burnt out 40k player looking for something new
