As the title says. I'm trying to spruce up my bases with field grass from Woodland scenics, example Here.

I've tried bending some strands in half, then using regular white glue to glue the joint to the base. But when the glue dried it was clearly visible as an opaque gluey lump.

Then I tried thinning the glue first with water but then the grass soaked it up and all the strands stuck together.

Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks!
