Hi, maybe this is the wrong section for this but I just noticed one of my battle for skull pass dwarves (the thane) has tons of small cracks all over him.

Anyone know what could be the cause? He's fresh off the sprue.

It's very hard to get on picture, but I'll try priming him to see if that makes it better.

They are very shallow but run for quite a good length, one of them runs over his whole cape horizontally. I'm fairly certain they're not intentional because one of them starts on his shield and ends on his face.

Make him into a statue for terrain.




Or..call GWs customer service number and explain whats wrong. Ive has several issues fixed for me in the past with almost zero effort on my part. GWs customer service is top notch.

So should I email them saying I have a dwarf covered in small cracks and what I should do to get it replaced?

WOH thats a huge crack!

That happens during the moulding proces when there's moisture/fluids on the casting blocks, this can be water or lubricant that hasn't run off and then get stuck inside the plastic. Usually this is caught by quality control and discarded. Just call customer service and explain, they'll probably replace the model/sprue. They're pretty helpfull with these things.

Give them a call and get it replaced. Might be best not to put anything else on it.

Well, they just told me they can't ship me the sprue but will send me a dwarf lord instead. I just gave them my address but they're taking a lot longer to respond then last time. I hope the "living in another country" part won't be too bothersome...

I've had some High Elf archers with similar issues. It's mostly un-noticeable after primer and paint, though.

Seems like a simple molding issue. Probably something like it got stretched a little when the mold was pulled off. Or something.
