some might call it a gimmick, but I think it has potential, i planned on bringing this plus a vendetta and chimera full of vets, with creed to outflank the demolishers to the 'ard boys
it has alot of high AV, and enough anti-tank/templates to deal with most threats, I built it mostly to deal with those armor spamming angels/wolves and twc
the plasma guns are to deal with monstrous creatues, which I would have a hard time with otherwise

I was so disappointed...I'd thought it would be a CSM list with Kharn in it...
Min troops can be a problem, while Squadrons are not all bonuses.

This is a little story about four people named Everybody, Somebody, Anybody, and Nobody.
There was an important job to be done and Everybody was sure that Somebody would do it.
Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it.
Somebody got angry about that because it was Everybody's job.
Everybody thought that Anybody could do it, but Nobody realized that Everybody wouldn't do it.
It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody could have done.

As was I... That's a hilarious picture, btw...
At any rate, playing 2 Troops in a 2000 point list isn't sooo bad, but like Sanctjud said, that could give you problems later. If you took a Platoon on the other hand, it'll at least give you a couple more units to spread along and take objectives.

well, the first army with a couple of landraiders will hurt you pretty badly, as will Tau.
You'll struggle in objective missions, due to a lack of troops.
Surprisingly, you actually lack a lot of anti-transport, so there's a good chance even rhino mounted units will close.
I'm not sure if you're curious to see if the concept itself would work, or if you'd like feedback on how to improve the list within the concept.

I think the concept is acceptable, but at the point level in question squads of 2 Russes are your better bet. This will make it easier to give the squad cover and be less point intensive.
The concept with that is one of them is upgraded, and the other is as cheap as you can make it. That way you can allocate as many hits as possible to the bare one, and try and leave it in cover.
Its clear that you are going to need more scoring units. In any objective mission your opponent can force a draw if needed easily against the original list.

... make lemanade!
So, yeah, with basically no way of scoring, you're going to loose a lot of objectives games to competent opponents. Also, russes are actually rather fragile to everything but long range anti-tank, so highly mobile armies are likely to put a lot of wrecked russes on the field by the end of the game.
But for pounding the boogers out of noobs, this list looks loltastic.

Not convinced by the concept. 6 Leman Russes at 2,000 points? Seems too many. I faced 3 Leman Russes at 1,000 points and tabled my opponent on turn 1 (granted he wasn't a very good player and also had a balisk, but since he never got a turn his ability was somewhat moot). Too many things can get at you too quickly these days to make aan all Russ lle.

Somes cuts of varying severity (sponsons, lascannons, turning a few plasmas into meltas) could free up enough points for a third vet squad. The tanks already contribute a lot of Ap3 and 2 but not awesome antitank, so I think meltas would mostly be a better buy than plasma.

I'd drop a squad of russ's and take more troops.
simply dont have enough to rely on otherwise.
since it leaves you a HS choice, throw something else in there like a manticore or hydras.
