Hey guys and gals, I am going to do a marine thats in a pose where he actually aims with the regular bolter instead of the cross-chest pose, now I know theres a article on this but I have for the world not been able to find it again (I have googled and so) any helpful dakka around? own Ideas are also welcome : P

I think you're thinking of an off-handed pose, using the bolter one-handed? in that case, you need to get a standard bearer's arm and put a gun on it.

No, It was an article about a dude who made some chaos space marines hold their bolter sin a supported aiming posewith both hands.

Ive done it a few times, so heres how i do it.

Regular bolter holding arm.
Cut away from the shoulder section and shave it down so it angles more upwards than before.
Cut at the wrist and angle downwards more.

Will require GS to fill gaps, but looks good.
This should have the bolter held higher and closer to the face, rather than away from the chest.

For the supporting arm you can use any one, but may need to make a slight cut under the shoulder and twist it a little more outwards and upwards to make it fit 100%
