What is the scariest, most destructive, or most baddassical NON-Unique, non-character, non-hero/lord, unit in the game and why? Doesn't necessarily have to be the biggest.

I'm going to go with the simple giant. Reasons are pretty straightforward. He's fast. He's one of the strongest units in the game. He's one of the highest toughness/wounds units in the game. He has terror and thunderstomp. But most importantly, he's got that crazy table of combat results you can't do a damn thing about. Got 1+ armor save and regen and 10 toughness and a ward save and comets bounce off your head without you noticing? Doesn't matter if a giant shoves you into his underwear.

He's obviously got a lot of downsides, but he's definately scary and I think becomes target #1 any time the enemy has valuable, pants-shoving heroes on the table.

Dark Elf Black Guard.. those guys are badass, they'd make me crap myself if I had to fight them. (They are my favorite DE unit, and from what I've seen amazing)

I dunno, how about the following:
100 skavenslaves with spears. 150 points. Deployed in horde formation.

Yeah they are crap, but that is a lot of crap to get through, I mean get involved in that combat you are going to be there for quite some time!taking into account they can add ranks to leadership due to strength in numbers. They also attack in 4 ranks due to spears, 40 attacks per turn and then when you finally pwn the unit they do cornered rats attack as well!

Monsters and handlers so the handlers protect your sallies from death.

Skirmishers - can march and fire!!! then drop their flame templates which hit everything now, and cause auto panic test.

I've killed (with 6) and 5 hits (1 was a misfire) 29 Greatswords and a battle priest, and 2 units of 6 men at arms detachments in 1 turn.

Vs anything under T4 they are insane...

Probly a warp lightning cannon that rolls a 10 for strength and drops the template right in the middle of an extremely expensive unit.
