Flaming Sword of Ruin??? You are planning on getting Kairos in Combat???

I believe you cannot have 2 siren standards as Daemonic Icons are Magical Standards now and you cant have 2 in the same army. FAQ Daemons for the magical standard update.

EDIT: Sword comment was based on old sword spell. Have re read and understand this choice much better now!

For Fateweaver you want Lore of metal signature spell for toasting steam tanks they are a real pita otherwise. Either Purple Sun or Pit of shades should be taken to punish low init blocks.

I think you want more Bloodletters instead of daemonettes. Strength 5 is better then strength 3.

Blue Scribes as a power dice battery might be worth including. Hide them behind an infantry block and roll for lore of life and maybe get something good if Fateweaver didn't eat all the dice.

Don't really like not having at least 1 Spellbreaker. Dunno where to put it. Maybe on a herald.

Not a fan of blood crushers.

Flaming sword is good on fateweaver as a just in case measure. You don't want fateweaver in combat but that doesn't mean that it won't happen.

I'm going to generally go with what I said about Karios in an earilier thread. I had suggested Comet, but I must agree with what Kirika said about STanks, so here is my suggestion:

Karios already has two nice magic missiles from the Tzeentch Lore(available on both heads), so I'd probably pick these spells(for a general list):

Left head(Life, Light, Metal, Heavens):

Throne of Vines
Regrowth
Searing Doom
Final Transmutation

Throne buffs Regrowth and protects Karios from Miscasts, Regrowth is pretty self explanatory, Searing Doom murders STanks, and Final Transmutation is a mass doom spell.

Right Head(Shadow, Death, Fire, Beasts):

Melkoth's Mystifing Miasma
Purple Sun of Xereus
Soul Blight
Fulminating Flame Cage

Miasma is great hex that can work with Purple Sun, Purple Sun is Purple Sun , Soul Blight can reduce the Srength and Toughness of every enemy unit with 24" of Karios by one, and medium units cry as the flame cage forms around them.

Also a good point to note, you cast the Flame Cage on huge unit that don't particularly like, then hit that unit with Siren Song. The unit is then forced to move(either by charging or fleeing) and gets nailed by the Flame Cage. If that is not a perfect example of Daemons breaking the game, then I don't know what is.

Thanks guys I really like the magic suggestions. Purple sun scares me because kairos is only I 1. He could kill himself with it. As for the icons on the daemonetts, they were classified as magic banners last edition so that hasn't changed, and they still fall under all the other rules for gifts except your standard bearer can drop it. Daemons can only buy icons as an upgrade to the unit, they don't have access to anything else. So no block of daemonettes with a razor standard unfortunately. Anyways thanks for the help.

The ruling on standards could go either way. If they count as magic standards, then the BRB ruling says you would only be able to take 1 of them.

Otherwise, I would definitely cut crushers for fiends and/or flamers. Both are a lot better.

Yea but they still fall under gift so you can take duplicates. And like I said if you dig up the old FAQ you will see they were magic banners in 7th edition too. Man I have a lot of success with that crusher unit I don't know that I want to drop it, and I do have 10 flamers. Play test the list 3 times and it rolled pretty hard as well as out right wrecking a nasty skaven list. The daemonettes with asf have been amazing as well. I can drop one unit for another bloodletter block though. Also the two siren songs in this edition wreak havoc, and have ruined some empire an dwarf gun lines.

7th edition FAQs don't matter.

8e has a rule: no duplicating magic items in the same army.
The DoC FAQ has made daemonic icons into magic items.
Nothing in the FAQ or Army Book overrides the limitation on duplicating magic items.

I'd be wary showing up with a list that requires a favorable interpretation in order to be legal.

As to the list, do you own any Fiends? I find them preferable to Bloodcrushers, and they're cheaper too. I'm also liking my core blocks a little bigger; 20 Daemonettes fall down too quickly to be especially effective after the first charge, or after the first volley of fire.

I thought this sounded familiar - he made the same arguments in this thread, even though everyone disagreed with him.

Trust me, I'm taking DoC on Saturday and I'd love to give Endless War to all my 'letters. Just isn't how it works.
