So I just won a Local Tournament with my Dark Angels using this list, I was thinking about changing it a little bit to look more like the list that will appear below it, Let me know what you think of it.

You want to put a power fist and plasma pistol on a sergeant in a devastator squad?

Were any of the lists you faced Mech? Just looking at your list I see 2x Assault Cannon 1x Cyclone (the bad 1 shot kind) and some Land Raider Lascannons....

Also where does Ezekial go in the new list? I assume Azrael and his command squad went in the LR

Just some general strategy comments would help, I played against a Deathwing army yesterday and with their inferior Storm Shields it seems they would be completely dismantled by Plasma (or in my case SoB Rending Bolters/Exorcists...)

Congratulations on your victory! I would love to see some batreps from it.

Regarding your second list, your dev squad is a HUGE point sink. Each model has 25-40 points of wargear invested in it, and with no ablative wounds, every unsaved wound is going to hurt... a lot. I would drop them for sure. Instead maybe get two more dreadnoughts, they can give fire support with twin linked auto cannons or plasma cannons as well as punch much harder than the dev sarg with a PF at the same time. Or two AC/HB preds and some heavy weapons/chanfists for your Deathwing squads (which they desperately need).

I am guessing enemy psychers are troubling you if you a going to bring Ezekiel, his hood is golden. He can also help a lot in a terminator squad by taking armor ignoring hits with force barrier, or popping MC's with his force weapon at initiative 5 (he just can't do both in the same turn though).

Speaking of your HQ's, why not get a LR Crusader instead so Belial and 'Zeke don't have to walk. The Crusader's weapons are much more effective against hoards and just as good (and certainly better up close) than a God Hammer's at tank bustin. On top of that, it's frag launchers will actually let your LC's hit at initiative against targets in cover.

i find ezekiel never performs in a battle for his points. easier to just take an un-named librarian if you still want the pshyc hood.

Was the imperial guard player you face absolutly dense?

Well, I dropped two Imperial Guard players one of which I tabled due to a lucky deep strike location, once was a beginner and the other was a veteran, one of my tactics was to keep the Assault Squad in the crusader and the missile termies in the land raider while I deep striked the Assault cannon squad near my opponent to act as a destraction. It seems to work well. Ezekiel & the tac marine act as a rear guard cover for any Deep strike surprises that may come to pass.
