In every apoc game that I'm in has a lot of superheavies the only problem is that almost all of them are on the imperium's side and I'm playing chaos. So as I recently started collecting orks and I wanted to make some (10+) ork fightas. I came to this decision because what the enemy wins in titas it loses in anti air (and you seem to able to kill flyers with out AA). So I was wondering what are the best anti titan tools for fightas (I'm hoping that I'm able kill a titan in a turn)

Best advice I can give you is to pack a precision strike. Hitting with shots on a 2+ improves most Ork shooting from ok to cataclysmic.

Imagine a few gangs of tankbusta or loota boyz hitting on a 2+. You'll find this will work well for you.

the best way to kill super heavies is in CC.

get a couple of Stompas

Mega-dreds with the speed boosta upgrades and Stompas: run across table and cut those enemy heavies into little pieces...

None of you is actually staying to the topic which is how to kill titans/super heavies with fightas. There are couple of reasons I don't want to use ground forces:

1. they get killed fast (the bigger the faster it dies)

2. I got speed freak army that's for slow stompas

3. Enemy doesn't have AA

The reason none of them are on topic is Bcause you can't kill titans with Ork Fighta-bommas.

You are saiying that fightas don't have any str 7 weapons? I'm not just intending to build fightas but all kinds of ork aircraft.

Warhound Titan.
Armour.
14 13 12.
Structure points: 3
Void Shields: 2

Ork fight-bomma.
Guns.
Four hull-mounted Big shootas. (Str5)
One turret mounted big shoota.
One payload of Bomms. (Str6)
And either two supper rokkits or burna bomms (Rokkits are Str 8)

Yes I am saying fightas don't have Str 7 weapons.

And aslo if you think Chaos has no super-heavies then you aren't looking too hard. Tower of Skulls, Plague tower. Banelord Titan, Choas warhound. Choas Baneblade. etc.

You could always try devising your own fighter rules. Though you will need to play test them and also need your opponents permission to use them.

And now i see you have edited your post. Then your answer is to create a new datasheet. Ninja'd by Silver on the datasheet bit.

Using bommas/fightas with the stock datasheets is a waste of time. The number you are going to need to get any reliable results vs. super-heaavies is silly...

If you insist on using flyers then I'd make my own data sheet for a new flyer unit, something easier to model than fightas or bommas, say:

"Grot-guided Krooze missile"

each one is in essence a grot piloted missile that carries a highly destructive payload.

* Grot-Guided Krooze Missiles enter play from reserve moving on from the table edge and move 36" a turn attempting to contact enemy vehicles/super-heavies/fortifications (bastions, bunkers, etc.). At the end of every move that a GGKM hasn't contacted a target roll 1d6: on a "1" the GGKM runs out of fuel and crashes (remove from play)

* If they "move into" a target roll 1d6: a "1" means the GGKM was dud and is simply a STR 7 hit to represent the impact of the GGKM's cobbled-togetehr bulk into the target; on a 2+ it's massive payload explodes: treat it as a destroyer hit. Either way the GGKM is removed from play after resolving

* Treat GGKM as flyers for purposes of AA fire, etc.

* "Make Da' Explosion bigga!!!": if a target is hit by a GGKM then any additional GGKM that hit the same target in that same turn add +1 to their rolls on any damage tables

Points value to be determined by you and agreed upon by concerned parties.

To model them: Buy a bunch of model/toy rockets of various shapes and sizes and add a ton of rivets, armour plates and ork glyphs. Paint with orky schemes and have a grot sticking out of a "cockpit" or similar. Then attach to flying stands. You should be able to make about 30 of them rather cheaply and quickly.

if you like the flyers part of it then perhaps another army change is needed, tau ahve some great flyers and great s10 weapons. or IG have good flyers too. i have seen several stompas dropped with IG fghters.

@OP: you do realise that stompas are pretty fast. 12" movement is scary fast.

they also have Supa-rokkits which hit their targets on 2+ and are Str8.

it is tough to drop 4 AV14 structure points in 3-4 turns before the stompa hits your lines. it takes Str9+ weapons to penetrate and not all of those will drop a Structure point unless your opponent is incredibly lucky.



as for them not having any AA you should know that all Cupola mounted weapons have the AA attribute(Pintle Mtd weapons, Hunter killer missiles) if he has any weapons with high rates of fire then you can still get hit quite often(vulkan mega bolters are the bane of flyers everywhere)

taking them down with flying things might be fun at first, but eventually neither of you will have fun as you will be ripping his army up with little to no retaliation from below.

But maybe I could do like custom special characters for fightas.

you can be pretty darn sure that after a few games against your hard to kill fighta's they will invest in some AA guns of their own.

Well it isn't my job to know the enemies rules just mine. And I just got to know this aa rule from Grey Templar.

Well, the fact that 5 TH/SS termies will easily kill a baneblade in melee is a pointer for any player.

I dont know much about orks, but nobz with..tankhammers is it? Anything STR 8+ will destroy most super heavy tanks. I have NO idea how to deal with a titan...use a boltgun?

Grots....MILLIONS of grots...Thats the best way to take down a Titan with Orks Jaon!
