Anyone else looking forward to this as much as I am? Not long now!
On another note, is it worthwhile taking an army with me? (Something small like space marines or something?)
Yes.... I'm a Games Day virgin....

Hmmm, a unanimous response.
Personally I'm not going. Hopefully you'll have a good time there and not be niggled by the things that annoyed me last time I went.
I would say a) yes take a small army (maybe have a few points options in the same case and make lists beforehand) and b) get there early if you want to play a game.
Personally my best experience of GD has been a footlong Meatball sub from Subway and a game of golf, but that's just me I guess.

Come on now! We know that at the very least Dark Eldar will be announced then, so that's something, right? If you're there for that, then you can say "I was there!" J.H.D.D. still won't believe it, but so be it!

Or they'll be announced in an email the day after. Let's not count our chickens just yet.

I thought Adepticon was the biggest GW event in the world until I saw the numbers for Games Day UK. That thing is a massive event! Have fun, wish I could go, but there is a pesky continent and ocean in the way.

Come on now Reecius. With the amount you've spent on your armies over the years, a pesky continent and the pond (as you guys over there refer to it) shouldn't be too much of a problem if you really wanted to go.
OTOH would it be value for money if you did? Probably not.

I haven't been for years and am kind of tempted to go this year, but not sure yet.

Maybe. Back in the day it wouldn't be as there wasn't any spare gaming tables so it wasn't worth it unless you were selling them or entering them in the Golden Daemon. Now I'm not too sure, it might be worth calling GW to see if they have a bring and game area. Personally I wouldn't as there will be a lot of people there and it's just something else to lug around with you (as you'll have some toys you would have brought on the day, plus maybe some food and drink as it can get expensive and you want your money for more toys!)
