So this is what I get for spending time reading tvtropes and being a big fan of their Wild Mass Guessing pages.....Also, apologies if this thread has been done before. A search in the off topic forum for 'Starcraft Tzeentch' turned up no results, so I assume I'm being original by making this thread. Feel free to lock it, if I'm just rehashing some topic that was brought up years ago.
So, basically reading TV Tropes (scroll to the bottom quarter of the page, or just Ctrl-F 'Tzeentch' ) , I stumbled upon this theory that Starcraft and Warhammer 40k are in the same universe, just in different galaxies. More importantly the Tyranids ARE the Zerg, and what they're fleeing from if a massive Human-Protoss alliance intent on purging them from existence. The reason humans exist in two galaxies at once is because Tzeentch is a fether who likes to gak with our minds, just for the hell of it.
Now, my ideas:
a) Tzeentch or some Tzeentchian cult ARE/WERE the Xel'Naga and the whole Starcraft setting is just them having fun.
b) In the future, maybe 6th Edition 40k or Starcraft III, Blizzard and Games Workshop will put aside their feud, and collaborate to create a world where the Protoss-Human alliance catches up with the Zerg/Tyranids they're chasing, and...and I don't know. Discuss.

Hahaha. Interesting concept.
I don't think it'll happen though. If this latest battle in the Foam Wars has taught us anything, it's that if we can argue about the tens of thousands of dollars custom foam market, we can certainly get up in arms about universe IP infringement.

Oh God yes....Foam Wars. Out of bile fascination I almost WANT to see what would happen if this occurred....the flames that would be unleashed....It pains the imagination to think about it.

Not bloody likely, considering the Tyranids are being imagined on a FAR greater scale than any Starcraft race, or all of them put together for that matter.

Sorry for Necro, but I have to say that Starcraft seems in some aspects as a rip-off of 40k(all three races in some respect).
The worst thing which someone can say is that GW stole from Blizzard when in fact it's opposite.

And we all know they both stole from the Lensmen.
