Hey guys,

So I have the old FW Valkyrie and I was wondering if anyone has put theirs on a flying stand. If so how did you go about it?

Also if there are already any articles on this that I am unaware of a point in the right direction would be great. I already tried the search feature.

I did it with my FW Vuture. Just trim the base tip to get the angle you want and mark it on the bottom of the model. The resin makes it heavier than the plastic kit so I glued around twenty pennies under it to counter that. A bit of crazy glue to put the Flier on and your done.
May not be the best way to pull it off, but it'll getit on the table.
Good luck.

I special ordered the mounting piece for the normal valk from a bits seller and cut it down to fit between the parts hold the doors on.
I then special ordered the normal valk base and mounted the plastic piece in the middle of the base.
It sits just fine.

I also ordered new plastic canopies, intake, and engines.
I couldn't get the original resins to fit without a bunch of sanding that destroyed too much detail so I just updated it with plastic parts.

@worldwarme: Thanks for the tip. I'll use that as a matter of last resort. Transportation is a bit of an issue for me atm. Yet I am glad to hear that it works well. I was wondering if it being a heavier model would be an issue. I am glad to hear that it isn't.

@Foda_Bett: Did you have to do any pinning to get that to work? Also where did you get your bit from for that conversion? I can't seem to find a store that has it is stock. Also that Valkyrie looks damn good! I'm impressed!

No pinning required. There is no such thing as a bits seller with items in stock. I would just pick the one you like most and check them as often as possible.
It's what I have to do if I need a bit.
