After playing my cousin using the old creature feature rules, we decided to experiment a little bit more, and used some weird dangerous terrain stuff. Crystals were placed as terrain to represent a strangely terraformed mining planet. When shooting at any squad in cover there was a chance, if they made their save, your ammunition would be reflected by the strange crystal growths.
I'd love to hear some other cool house rule ideas, anyone else get funky in casual games?

3 Players Per side or anything mounting to 3000pts perside.
Terrian
Defending Team Sets up the Terrain as they wish, with a concentrated amount of cityfight at one end of the table (longside).

Defender Deploys
Start
Attacker comes in from reserve on the opposite end of the table. If an attacking unit is destroyed or wilfully removed by the Attacker it is brought on in reserve next turn.
Then we see how long the defender lasts. Afterwards we swap swides and see if they can beat the turn score. We played it several times, just a couple of months before Planetstrike came out. Damn you and your scenario stealing GW!

That's mad. I played a scenario based on the Sabbat Martyr book from the Gaunt's Ghost's series. A bunch of guard infantry with like two heavy weapons versus 6 assassins haha.
They don't get the saint

4 sides. 1,000 pts. 2x3 board. Objective. Let's see how long you last using these rules. I have tabled so many people doing this!

thats pretty cool, what did you make the crystals out of?
i like making up rules for speacial units and make them equivilant to speacial character a good way is to use other speacial character rules.
i also modifide the rules for my GK terminators making their pyscic attack... cant remeber what its called apocolypse i think well it damages all your units nearby when you use it which i thought was a bit stupid so i just modifide it a little
this is all done with appropriate points cost Automatically Appended Next Post: chowderhead13 wrote:4 sides. 1,000 pts. 2x3 board. Objective. Let's see how long you last using these rules. I have tabled so many people doing this!

I made them out of dry (hot) glue and quartz stone from the garden. The part of Australia where I live is pretty rich in quartz to finding a chunk about the size of a wheelbarrow in a paddock wasn't too hard lol.

Imperial Guard Zombie Horde.
Each player gets 200 points (all on one team), and the enemy player gets 100 guardsmen. Each time 10 guardsmen die, a new squad of 10 comes off the board edge. Absolutely no FOC required. I fielded 2 assault cannon terminators and a heavy flamer terminator. All non zombie horde units could buy an extra wound every time they got 5 kills or so, so as to stop the guardsmen from splattering everyone all over the place.
It was good fun, I had my 3 termies holed up with a khorne lord and another termie sergeant with power sword and storm bolter, with an allied imperial guards weapons team with autocannons covering us. Its a fun little game me and my friends play after a game. full of house rules.

I'd say that your version would be a fair bit more fun, given that Planetstrike is a ruleset that totally shoots itself in the foot by allowing everything on the attacker's side to Deep Strike.
