Orks in 40k are just similar to the characteristics of Orcs in WHFB. They're both violent, clan driven, and fight in huge hordes with primitive-ish weaponry and Gork/Mork's favor.

That's where the similarities end.

Orks in 40k are fungus based lifeforms created by the Old Ones, repopulating by dropping spores that will grow into new Orkoid lifeforms as an "adult" Ork dies.
Orcs in Fantasy are your stereotypical D&D styled Orcs. Violent, clan driven, fight in hordes following a particularly strong warboss...and of course, reproduce sexually rather than asexually(which is the key difference here).



So are Orcs hermaphrodites or are there female orcs in the fluff and all?
