tervigon, catalyst, cluster spines- 175

10 termagants- 50

heavy:

carnifex brood-
fex w/ heavy venom cannon
fex w/ heavy venom cannon
fex w/ heavy venom cannon- 555

carnifex brood-

2000 points

10 MCs, 8 heavy venom cannons, tervigons spitting out little turds to annoy and putting FNP on the carni broods, 44 t6 wounds. i dont think it can conqure the world... but it should be a blast to play!

TBH, there is a reason you dont see many fex's about now.
Granted, they are the heaviest hitting unit strength wise, but they lack the attacks and initiative to deal it out well.
Not only that, but with some of the newer things, they tend to look like babies in the army.

I'd cut out a brood of 3 to start with, or atleast put variation into them.

Cutting them out: I'd take 2 trygon primes instead (add in glands)
They will provide you with alot more speed in the army, and against infantry they hit alot harder (your wounding on 2+ most of the time anyway)
So the WS and attacks win out easily.
Also, thier special rules help you out with deploying closer to objectives.

Changing them: If you really want 6 fex's then i'd add in some variety to make more use.
To start with, take 3 units of 2 rather than 2 units of 3.
Granted, it gives more KP's this way, but allows more variety in the units.
Heavy venom cannons are nice, but i'd run 2 units with those and 1 unit with strangles instead.

Same as jack only, why aren't you taking paryoxism (srry forgot the exact name)? it lowers a units WS and BS to one! that means they'll hit almost anything on a 5+ that the nids field, and everything will hit them on a 3+! its a good ability, much better than psychic scream.

Scary list to play.

Give up some points and find room for some venomthropey MC cover.

Dropping a Tyrant gives you 2 squads of 2.

Hide them?...they get they're own cover save and you have MCs to give them a better cover save...and you only need one to last 2 turns before it barely matters anymore...though the combined Venomlash/Fex pounding is awesome.

The Fex's are sort of Meh as has been mentioned, but the 3 units of 2 isn't a bad idea. I would suggest taking the Swarmlord instead of one of the Tyrants, I really think the Swarmlord is the best HQ choice for Tyranids.

I actually would say...keep the Hive Commander Tyrant and give him wings if possible...you need to throw an immediate threat in the enemies face with that many fexes on the board.
