Looking around the Fluff the only Primarch who has done anything "major" since the Heresy is Angron when he decide to attack Armageddon.
What is Fulgrim doing? Magnus? Mortarion?

Or are they working for their Gods in the Great Game? Or is it that they cannot be bothered to personally attack the Imperium, so they let Abbadon do their work for them?

The useless fethers who can't keep an oath?
The idols of apathy?

IMO, 40k doesn't need them anymore. Wouldn't make a difference if they died on their run to escape the imperial wrath.

We would only have to rewrite the first war on armageddon. Thats all.

Lorgar has been in meditation for about 10,000 years now.

Magnus is doing something similar.

As are Perturabo and Mortarion.

At least Fulgrim did a little something more after the Heresy, but apparently he's not really "Fulgrim", is he?

Bottom line is that there are a bit much in terms of power and story, so until the Emperor gets up and the Loyalist Primarchs return, they'll be kept off stage, for the most part!

Though it makes a sort of twisted sense in that they all started up or joined the Heresy in a snit-fit, so now of course they'll need a good long sulk, right?

Magnus attacked Fenris didn't he?
I'd say that's pretty big... well compared to the rest of them it's huge.

While not being epic in size (or bigger than a normal SM). This guy has done a lot of cool Primarch minis:

Yeah I always got the feeling that the traitor primarchs were lazy bums. The loyalists have excuses...like being mostly dead.

But you just wait till The Lion wakes up!

Magnus attacked Fenris and choppy'd some Space Wolf chapter master good sometime in M32. Who knows after that, I imagine time no longer has meaning for them and they're busy in the great game which must seem a bit more important.

Change and change until Change is our master, for nothing neither God nor mortal can hold that which has no form. Change is the constant that cannot be changed.

No game of chess can be won without pawns, and this may prove to be a very long game.

They've been playing monopoly. You know how long those games can take. They must have spent at least a century or two arguing over who gets to be the racecar.

Actually Mandaloryn, I'd like to think that Angron immediately chose the doggy as it entices him with its innocent stare.
Then, Daemon-thing Fulgrim chose the thimble, because come on- he's a thimbley kinda daemon thing.
And of course Magnus would choose the top hat, as he is incredibly classy.
Perturabo would get the boot because feth you, he actually gets tired of all the damn iron.
And Lorgar, of course, would get the racecar because IT IS WRITTEN!

Hi there, I'm an hole! =D

"Links disintegrate--
Bolt clanks back and forth behind the thudding roar--
Brass rains on the sidewalk--
The 'sixty rattles out its song.
A song I first heard years ago--
Of fireteams dug in on the breaks between the paddyfields, of tracer lasering the jungle night, of Hueys screaming through the void--
Of Lieutenant Castle getting short and hating it, wanting 'Nam to last forever--
A lullaby come all the way to New York City--
Come to sing you to sleep."

On a fluffier note, the end of A Thousand Sons suggested that Magnus no longer commanded much respect from his former children. Of course, as present 40K goes that was a long, long time ago.

I think that they are all busy in the Eye of Terror, fighting among themselves for everything. And, because time is meaningless in the Eye, they do not realize that they have been fighting for 10,000 years.

Remember, it has been stated in the Fluff that SOME of the Chaos Space Marines are 10,000 years old, but ONLY because they have been in the WARP. Some of these traitors even think that the Horus Heresy happened very recently. This is because, to them, no time has passed. It is OUTSIDE the Warp that time passes.

Also, I agree...they will be background characters until 41K!

I can still remember when a box of 30 Space Marines was $30.00. Now THAT'S old school! In fact, I started playing in the Rogue Trader days...yes, I am that old. Played Warhammer Fantasy for years before Rogue Trader even came out...

Did Magnus not appear in the SW omnibus, until Rangar threw a spear into his eye. Compard to most of them, Magnus seems to be pretty pro-active (and hating of the Space Pups).
