There are any number of avatars on Dakka that make me wonder what they mean, where they come from, or that I just wish I could see a larger copy of!

Mine is cropped from some concept art I commissioned for BloodQuest by Christian Gossett - the guy responsible for the "Red Star" graphic novels.

Mine isn't significant, just interesting, I like it.

I painted it in MS Paint, its a glyph in the ork dex.

It was an amazing sci-fi/horror attraction at Walt Disney World. Now replaced with a slowed kid-orientated attraction.

No significance...but it does say alot about my slowly deteriorating sanity.

Grimgob is Ork for "dangerous mouth". My avatar is a Gif (I could never get it to work on dakka, It usally chomps and moves its head back and forth) of a man with nothing but a dangerous mouth.I like it cause its almost as creepy as Darth Bob's

I used to use a Boreale from my Dawn of Awesome cartoons, but I changed it to Duke Nukem the day Duke Nukem Forever was playable at PAX and officially announced. I will bear this avatar until Duke comes out in 2011 or I get bored.

I love pet rats. Always have. This photo (along with a few others that have been made) show that pet rats arnt icky, diseased rodents from some horror movie. They are as they are, cute and harmless. Unlike cats and dogs, they make me laugh. Funny little things.

Totally an adorable avatar... But it looks like he's sucking out Teddy's brain! I've kept mice and rats as pets; my most recent rodent pet was a gerbil. I agree they are wonderful little critters UNTIL THEY GO FOR THE BRAIN!


Anyway, as for me... my avatar is a California condor. Gymnogyps is the Genus name of the CA condor, Gymnogyps californianus. I am a CA native and miss it terribly. I'm also obsessed with birds and love condors. I had condors on my mind for some reason when I finally signed up for a user name.
