3 flamestorm cannons in your face on turn 1, 5TL HF turn 2 with 4 double melta squads. Priests give FnP/FC bubble to two squads each, flamer squad goes and kills some GEQ's somewhere. FC acts as a nice force multiplier for 5 man assault squads, LC is there for annoying 3+/2+ saves. Mephiston hangs around somewhere and kills MC's.

Comments? =)

You need long range AT firepower. I could pop a couple of transports on Turn One, leaving your Assault Squads to slog across the field waiting until they get into range of their Meltas. Give TL Las to the Razorbacks and swap one Baal Pred for a Pred Annihilator.

I agree with valk on this one.
You cant be dependant on a single plan, if you are, then it will come apart and leave you fethed.

I'd grab meph some tracks.
Otherwise he wont make it to do any damage.

Something i seem to see alot in your lists is point heavy models/units.

Meph is only good at what he does when he is against the right enemy, and if you have an army to compliment his abilities.
No good throwing him into your army, the army needs to be made around him.

Was thinking about changing the baals to autolas, but then it wouldnt be too focused anymore. Originally made the list because I was bored, and only just realised its really not that good

A mech army doesn't need Sang. Priests.
You could drop them for a Predator or a Honour Guard with jump packs and meltas.

I really caution players playing Razorback spam lists that MSUs are very brittle and can easily cost you a KP mission. If you really want the MSUs then for BA SP are a must because the FNP could mean the difference between coughing up a KP for a draw or keeping it ftw. Also I agree with the general assessment that with out any long range or Deep Striking units several of your transports will get popped turn 1 leaving you somewhat stranded.

Very interesting list. I think the Infernus pistols are a bit of a waste of points. Are you giving each squad just one LC? Or is that a typo? Because if so, the one LC is a big waste, not very effective.

Personally, I would probably drop the Razorbacks, pick up an Auto-LC Predator, and then take the remaining points left and make as many full assault squads (x2 Melta, JP, PF/PW) as possible..

And more than likely I would switch out Meph for two libby's with JPs, but that is personal preference.

An open mind is like a fortress with its gates unbarred and unguarded

Infernus pistols give the squads double meltas, which is important to make them reliable tank killers, 1 melta is too iffy. The 3" range is no problem as the razors allow me to get right next to enemy tanks.

LC costs the same as a PW, and is more effective. I didnt have points for PF's, and anyway wanted to make full use of the FC initiative bonus.

The razorbacks are the idea of the list, and besides jummpackers dont need autolas preds anyway, a list like that wouldnt have much focus or synergy.

So just a question, but what happens when you face gunline guard, tau or DE?

they deploy on the table edge, then proceed to outrange you and pop your AV11 transports, leaving you walking.

You NEED range in an army, unless your arriving via DS.
Otherwise you will be running into a hail of fire.

BA being marines and all means you will be outnumbered by everyone except GK's.
So, numbers are against you from the start, why cause genocide on your own army by running at a static gunline?

Your units need to hit thier lines with the least possible casualties.
To do so you need to remove any threats you can, and as quickly as possible.

Even something like a rifleman dread is more reliable than melta.
Im saying this as they are firing from turn 1, the melta needs to get to them 1st, which means that AV11 needs to hold up to tons of fire before dropping them off.

Just drop meph.
for some reason you think he is the be all and end all in any BA army.
He is just a point sink.

Drop him and add in a basic libby.
throw the libby with an assault squad (give him sword to start with)

Thats 150 points saved.
Remove the 4 infernus's for another 60 saved.
With those points you can upgrade all 5 backs weps with 35 points left over.

Now, 5 backs, i'd go with 3 LAS, 2 AC's to start with.
All can hunt armour, and the las has range, the assaults can hunt infantry aswell if needed.

So, after that: (35 points to play with)

Drop 1 priest (85 points left to play with)
Drop the flamer assault unit (215 left)

Take a unit oh honour guard with a chapter banner (+1 attack)
Add in a fist and thats 170
Razorback - 55 (thats 10 points left over, so just remove an upgrade from the previous bit and you have 20 points left to use)

So, that gives you a unit with a chalice (just like the priest), a re-roll bubble and extra attacks in the unit.
So each model (except fist) gets 2 basic attacks, 1 for assaulting, 1 for BP + CCW and 1 from the banner.
Costs a bit more than an assault squad, but you get 20 basic attacks and 4 fist attacks.

Can even throw the libby with them if needed for extra punch.

Ive already said this list isnt good. It was an idea that I had during biology class at 8.30 in the morning. Tear it apart. Go nuts. Take all the satisfaction you can from insulting it in every possible way.

@ Jack

You are right about suppression fire, and I do know how it works. Just cant be bothered to rewrite this list.

I also see you just downright insulting all of my lists, without really giving any helpful advice. How about you post up a BA or daemon list?

Meph isnt the be all end all of BA. I just like him. Cant take that? Tough.

You better should have devised it during a math class at 10 am. Lol

He did state how he would modifie it, No reason to flame at him. Meph and Biology just don't mix.

Was referring to his flaming in the daemon list.

He was more or less fair in this thread.
