Subject: Commission/Plasticard Modeller Help! "Bigger" Rhinos, Predators and Vindicators...

Hello! I recently had a project in the works with a commission builder, but that went south and it looks as if I'm out 6 Rhinos, 2 Predators and 2 Vindicators. The project was to make them all a bit 'bigger' so as to look 'right' when compared to my Truescale Alpha Legion Space Marines. Pics: True Scale Marines with Regular Scale Marine next to a Regular Scale Razorback/Rhino: Shots of someone else's "True Scale Rhino WIP": I think that WIP True Scale Rhino sets a fairly good example of where I want to go, with the added benefit of being a GW model with Plasticard additions so, tournament legal, just in case! It probably needs to be a bit wider too, maybe? I've seen this suggestion: Kilkrazy wrote:Depending how much work you want to do, you could saw the Rhino in half and insert a new section of hull to make it longer. And this *might* be the way to go? It would work well with the fact that I've got a lot of Rhino hulled vehicles around! So, the question is... Does anyone want to take up this commission for me? Please PM me if you do!

PMs replied to!
Kroothwak - I've looked at the "ramshackle" line of vehicles, but in the end they are a bit too... ramshackly, for lack of a better word.
The FW kit isn't quite 'right' either.
Thanks for the suggestions though!

I feel like every dimension would need to be expanded not just one. So you would have to make it longer, taller and wider. Otherwise it is going to throw off the proportion of the rhino. For instance, those wip photos look silly to me, cause they only made it taller, so it looks like a rhino with a box on top, not a larger scale rhino

The WIP photos of (can't remember their name!) someone else's work were just to show, basically, that I wasn't looking for someone to make a vheicle that could literally fit 10 TS Marines in it.
A bit longer, taller and wider would seem to be the order of the day...

Don't want to destroy jobs, but here two more options:
Armorcast (now OOP?)
Pig Iron Productions:
And Antenociti's Workshop is working on a bigger APC version of this one, but I can't find a WIP currently (called Armadillo):

there are Templates for Rhinos and other GW models that you can cut out of Plasticard or cardboard on the web, its pretty easy to just use Paint use Immage Tab, Stretch it to any % larger or even a photocopier and make them to what ever scale you need. Just google Scratchbuilt Rhinos
