Starting a Chaos Daemons army. Here's my first Daemonette






I don't know what else it needs, but it needs something... I was going for a bondage look with the silver and black on flesh... maybe some bright colored highlights for the black hair? i don't wanna change it so much as i wanna add something else... it just doesn't pop good enough for me.

You could try a brighter colour for the claws/hair/capey type thing. Red or orange would go well with the silver.

I want a gothic/bondage theme for the daemonettes, i thought highlighting the black with a light pink, blue, green, yellow, red, would set it off and maybe make it look otherworldly

Blending the claws (especially) from the black to either green or red would give a great focal point for the model as well as adding colour. Plus, leaving the black at the base keeps with the gothic/dark theme. Doing both claws and hair would be my advice, they're the organic bits after all and therefore more likely to contain some colour variation.

Yeah I think just a bit of very dark red or purple blended into the claws would finish it nicely, maybe with a bit more highlighting on the corset. The tail could be more darkly shaded too imo, cool look though the hair and loincloth are really good!

Did you use some bad primer or something, the model seems fuzzy.

Yeah, the primer is a bitch, I'm using Armory primer. But it's looks fine in person, the picture just brings out the bad in it... but I added an obelisk to the base. what do you think?

Maybe matching lipgloss to lacquered claws.

I used armoury primer in the past, threw it away after priming a couple of minis, it's hard as hell to strip just to add to the pain.

I think the best scheme is the first one.

Just prime with chaos black. It goes on smoothly and works remarkably for me. Other than that i like it, the obeslisk too as I like interesting bases.

the best way to blend the claws in is with progressive washs. if you got the WD issue when the DP was released then you'll know what I mean

also only paint the top lip or else you get a pouting look

I made something similiar but larger as a DE objective marker. The guythat runs the shop I buy from sells pistol cases for cheap to hold models in. The bottoms have ounch out slots so I took a some spare and cut it to a ruined vibe then coated it in super glue. After the glue dried and firmed it up I painted it Chaos Black with Ultramiries Blue runes on each side.

true, very true I need to repaint my nettes at some point, I whent with a gothic style for the makeup and it came out baddly :L

love your DP and the nette's skin. I was debating wether to go with purple or flesh coloured skin but I think this has decided it for me
